You would have thought 343 would implement SOME system to match EU gamers with EU gamers on EU dedictaed servers. But thats not the case… no matter what time i play, i get matched with americans all the time. Arena is unplayable as long as you enter it alone. Pings beyond 200 are no fun to play with. Despite the -Yoink- connection i don’t wanna play with cursing and whining and yankees…
You can’t tell me the population in the EU is SO low that i have to get matched on overseas servers. Why isn’t there a region selection like in GoW? Why isn’t there any indicatioon of the ping? U’d rather wait 2 minutes instead of 10 seconds
Despite the poorly content the MP is quite fun… if its running like its supposed to. But 90% of the games are just garbage.
I know this won’t change anything, i just wanna express my frustration about this bad system.
Assuming EU population is low I’d honestly rather sit in a long queue or not play at all if I have to play on US servers or with US players due to ping. No idea why it can’t be region locked EU, at least by choice…
Id rather wait half an hour than to play another game on a american server against a team of americans, its pathetic
People have played online gamingfor YEARS now theres no excuse for anyone to start a game at a disadvantage. Fair enough technology wasnt all that back then and you had to put up with what you had but these days? Ive got 150mb cable broadband with an upload of about 12 and im STILL playing with a 300ms ping??

Most of the people I play with are from the US and I don’t notice any considerable lag or slow pings. Plus region locked servers would stop people like myself from playing with friends, but I do get your point.
Have you considered your internet connection might be the problem? If you’re on WiFi you could be hitting serious lag issues just from that.
to be honest I would rather play with Americans or UK players, in my experience the net infrastructure in mainland Europe varies greatly from adequate to omg what is this dial up? not only by country but by region of a given country, I would also make sure you are paying for the correct connection the basic connection that comes with most phone and tv packages is not man enough for current gen gaming the amount of data through updates, and just general play with constant up-down will have you bouncing off fair use limits and results in your connection being throttled.
