Like many I’m desperately trying to find the time for the SR152 grind, but it’s a struggle. What set me on this path was the universal double XP across the game last December-January: that was fantastic.
Was wondering if there were any plans to do something similar especially over an extended period? And if so… when?
I desperately want to enjoy Reach on MCC and the new MCC progression system as well as (shock horror) other games too, but I feel like it’s going to come down to a choice between 152 or those others things otherwise.

That’s been the case for as long as featured playlists have been around. I’m talking about the Universal all playlists are double XP which happened in December/January (and based on the numbers I was seeing I presume it was stacked for featured playlists so they became x4)
I would love to have a universal double xp period as well. The rotational playlists are fun and all, but if you get one that you don’t enjoy, your basically out of luck for a week. Not to mention the pathetic arena boost drop rate. For every 1 arena xp boost I get, I get at least 3 times as many warzone xp boosts and several rp boosts. At the very least, I’m hoping October has double xp infection again. I don’t really enjoy Infection, but the payouts were so good that I could deal with it for a few weeks

Also feel like there should always be a featured Warzone playlist: weekends when WZT and WZA aren’t up it could be Mythic/normal WZ/Warlords and during the week could rotate between Heroic WZFF, Legendary WZFF and normal WZ
I really hope that the ranked featured list changes from snipers to something else. I like a mixed bag of playlists in Halo. However, castle wars is simply not fun (I might try some, but not a fan in general) for me, and the one other playlist that I have never enjoyed (on any Halo games)… Team snipers.
I played quite a bit of roaming hill, and had fun while getting double XP the week until it moved to castle wars. I noticed team snipers in ranked is still the double XP as of yesterday? Did this change? Will it?
I just started the grind to 152 (looooong way to go), so I’m still learning these things. I’m hoping the featured list changes every week (in both ranked, and social).

Some kind of anniversary event would certainly be cool.

To be honest my SR152 attempt would still be a massive undertaking even if they made it double XP from now until Infinite release
A lot of games have big seasonal events featuring new skins or gamemodes. New content is probably out of the questions, but it would be nice to have a Summer Universal double XP in conjuction with the Holiday event (should they do it again). If the featured playlist is not your cup of tea than your out of luck for finding something else to play.

I honestly haven’t noticed the payouts increase whatsoever and that sounded more like a ‘did you know’ than an announcement…

I wish that were the case, but I have been getting the same xp payouts as I always do with featured playlists. I’m pretty sure that blog post was just to bring awareness to the fact that the featured playlists were already giving double xp. It doesn’t say starting now or anything like that. Believe me, I would love to be getting more xp per game than I have been, but that just isn’t the case

I’m only getting 10k XP in wins and 9k XP in losses with the rare boost 
I really hope that they do this. Call of Duty is always having extra xp events. It’s not just one gametype either, it’s for all playlists for extended periods of time.
