that whenever 343i tries to bring back something old, they put their own twist on it, and nobody likes it, so they end up reverting back to the original.
Example:
Fiesta- they made it with ordinance, but most people didn’t like it. So they made Classic Fiesta, but it didn’t have all they weapons and it had the annoying grunt birthday party on. Now as far as I can tell all weapons are in, and there is no grunt birthday party, the way it was back in Halo 3.
The “X” - The made it white, it followed the dead body, and it disappeared to quickly. Now it is red, does not follow body, and lasts long enough for your team mate to see it.
I haven’t just now noticed that…I’ve known that for a while.
Now if only 343 realized it
So true, I remember that learned from reach comment to. Why go to the game that the community regards as one of the worst Halo games created. While they have made a way better set of AA’s save for the ones that were previously equipment pickups everything else like sprint and ordinance were kind of unneeded. They should go and learn from Halo 1-3 instead of the Halo title that in itself was just a experiment that deviated away from what the Community enjoyed the most and that is classic Halo. They should take things like forge and the leveling system as well since it was way longer and gratifying IMO.
Basically Game-play from Halo 1-3. Features from Halo - Reach.
343 are good good talented people they just make crazy mistakes sometimes
Well, it’s easy to have the answers when looking back on a “mistake”, isn’t it? (I use the term mistake loosely, because it really is an opinion, even if a majority one)
Some things can only be learned from trying it out, then seeing what the reaction is like. At least there’s some back tracking based upon feedback from the forums.

I think it’s too late to revert back to old Halo styles as too much has changed and let’s face it, people would get bored even faster as it would just be a copy-and-paste of the original trilogy.
What we need are AAs and equipment. Equipment being the gear that can have a team effect on gameplay and AAs being the personal effect.
AAs
-Active Camo (shorter lasting time and shorter recharge, something that requires to be used in bursts)
-Thruster Pack
-Hologram
-Jet Pack (hopefully more of a booster pack)
-Promethean Vision
-Hardlight Shield
Equipment
-Bubble shield
-Gravity lift
-Mine
-Deployable shield
-Smoke field
-Autosentry
Back on topic, 343i should have polls and be more involved in the community so they don’t run into these problems as well as letting us be able to “approve” their decisions that affect the game.
Btw, out of my personal opinion, I believe sprint should stay as the SIVs have the lightest version of MJOLNIR armor in human history
I feel like it’s improved a lot since launch though.
Not that it’s a massive deal or anything, but does anyone remember the classic game beginning beeps?
They’ve been changed in Halo 4 and while it isn’t a big deal it does point out that 343 are changing things for the sake of doing it. I really don’t see what needed to be changed with them.
I mean, if they just wanted to make it sound a little sharper then bravo. It worked. I prefer this one, sounds like a mix between Halo 3 and Reach.
Yep, they keep adding their own Spin onto things and the Community has to fight every step of the way to get it to how it’s supposed to be. 343I just changes for the sake of change. They need to learn the concept of “If it ain’t broke, don’t ‘fix’ it.”
sorry but lets be fair here, they have made changes like this, and then are changing them and trying their best to update them back to how we like them, give them time and don’t be so unappreciative.
we don’t like how the weapon balancing is, so they are changing it in a few weeks, I am sure they will learn and improve from their mistakes
obviously still complain to make your voice heard about specifics you don’t like in the game, but don’t point out things like that, after they have already fixed them to rub into 343i a little more
> Example:

Nope. You still won’t spawn with a Railgun, Boltshot, Grav Hammer, or Energy Sword.
> The “X” - They made it white.
The “X” was white in Reach as well, which was Bungie’s doing. Funny thing is, no one whinged about it not being red, or ‘a different spin on it’ then.
Some folks are hard to please.
Can we at least use the Saga of the Red X as proof that 343i does listen to the community?
Or will be forget about this and create more polls and threads about 343i does not care…?

Do we know why? It’s a little ridiculous if you ask me.

Yea, the “X” itself is white, but the name and arrow are bright red, which is the majority of the item. The whole point is it helps the gamer see where it is quickly without having to sift through contrasting colors and shades that all-white brings.
343i has been trying to put their spin on things since Day One, and as far as I’m concerned, it hasn’t worked one bit. I’ve not enjoyed a single thing 343i have changed, since they either add randomness, unfairness, or change for the worse for no reason whatsoever.
> obviously still complain to make your voice heard about specifics you don’t like in the game, but don’t point out things like that, after they have already fixed them to rub into 343i a little more
Not trying to “rub it in”. Hopefully they will realize that when we want something back, we want it back because it obviously was good the way it was. We don’t need them to change something just for the sake of changing them. Fiesta is a game mode that they could have done in 10 minutes using the custom game settings, yet they went out of their way to make it different, when all we wanted was plain old action sack, all weapons, entirely random, and yet they still haven’t fixed that.
