Does any one remember back when on the halo 4 forums around when maps were still being released that the req system was actually being discussed?
I remember we were talking about how DLC maps need to be free for the game to live as long as it can with all the maps playable and the only way thought of for it to exist in halo 5 was some body came up with this whole microtrancaction idea like the req system.
I remember on paper I thought it was a terrible idea but it worked out for the better as long as you don’t have a microtrancaction addiction and you didn’t waste your time on gold 1st.
Would they of deleted the old forums or not ? cause I was wanting to try find it to see how much it differs or doesn’t to what we actually have
I wasn’t on the forums back then, but I think what they did in Halo 5 was a good step (Free maps for everyone was a great idea) I like how 343 is progressing overall.

It might of even been bungies forum I remember it having a dark blue colour maybe nothing like what we have now but bungies seems too early
and the whole thread was about how maps need to be free for all but how would it work very few people thought it was a good idea
I’m thinking I could have had the wrong thread in mind it could of been just vaguely about maps and the whole topic came up.

The whole req system most likely wouldn’t of been mentioned but free dlc with using micro transactions would of been the main focus mainly since no body liked the idea. I never even thought about it probably at the time I heard micro transactions and already had made my mind up.

I vaguely remember something like that, and I remember the free DLC because people were tired of paying for them and they thought it was better for people to have free DLC instead of buying them. As for the REQ system, I also slightly remember that but I thought it was a bad idea but it seemed like 343i listened to whoever I guess but I think it was a bad step for 343i.
