Any one else have trust issues now?

Was it me or was I mislead by the trailers. They made this game out to be something completely different. Now if they had marketed the game for the story they gave us I wouldnt be as mad. But I also got a crappy cliffhanger, which is whatever, but that I only got to play MC 3 times out of 15 missions is annoying as well. Overall why did they market this game for a completely different story then what they gave us. And no I dont hate the game it was actually pretty good, just a little bummed about it.

I didn’t actually get to see any of the trailers, but am loving the game and story so far. I was actually disappointed not seeing much hype for the build up (busy with kids, work etc) but by the sounds of it I am one of the few lucky ones.

Why did you watch the trailers? Why even play the game if ur whole emotion comes from trailers?

All you did was read the game news article about misleading ads and are now plagiarizing that onto the forums.

They have never really followed the trailers. Remember Halo 3? They had that monument and at the end of the commercial it shows a Brute holding masterchief up like he is dead. That battle depicted in that commercial never happened in the game.

The commercials they show seem to show what everyone else in the human colonies may have seen and heard from ONI and the UNSC as they were not sure what he was doing at first. (Hence why Locke was going after him.)

Thats what i was thinking too, that i was mislead, but couldnt that be the whole purpose? remember #huntthetruth, they were just playing us, trying to set up one plot for us in our minds while the real one was completely different.

Yeah, but Halo 3 left right off of Halo 2 and continued the story. Halo 5 just randomly starts in the middle of no where with a ton of unexplained random characters.

Some of you brought up that whole ONI thing, looking at it like that it makes a lot of sense. But personally I think they should have been more upfront with the story for people getting hyped for the game. Cause if that was their intention to show it form that angle then they should have told us cause a lot of people aren’t happy rn.
Btw i can’t stress enough that I don’t hate the game, just that it could have done a few things better.

The trailers didn’t lie about anything, there was a Hunt, the Hunt proceeded, the Hunt ended. Tf are you on about?
