I would love you know why Breakout is now unranked. It’s ruined it for me.
Played a few games last night and only lost 1. I was matched against players who didn’t have a clue and just ran in like headless chickens. It’s made it incredibly boring, when it was the most exciting and intense playlist.
I was only Diamond 2/3, so I know I’m not the best, but unranked is just stupid.
If anything should be unranked it should be SWAT in my opinion. Anyone can get a headshot with a BR, Breakout needs way more skill.
Worst decision that 343 has made. I was just getting into Halo 5 and it was largely down to the Breakout playlist. But now they’ve taken the big mode they brought in for Halo 5 which was designed specifically to be for competitive play and tried to turn it into a casual playlist.It doesnt work like that! It has killed the mode and removed a great draw for the competitive play.
I have heard people suggest it was one of the lower population playlists but it was one with one of the highest concentration of competitive players. Thats why it was low population. People see it as more competitive so they often only go in when they are feeling really confident of themselves and their teams. That is why it should be a ranked mode. I can’t even get my head around who thought this switch was a good idea. It’s that stupid.
If they really had to drop a ranked playlist to make room for doubles then they should have made it Swat. Swat is largely based on the luck of who sees who 1st and cannot be regarded as really competitve. It doesn’t require the kind of strategic approach and logical thinking which Breakout requires. It’s such an obvious choice I’m just stunned by 343 making such an absurdly illogical and anti-competition decision.
