with all the new information that’s been dropped recently I haven’t been able to sift through it all yet but just wondering if there has been any word on armor customization options?
I’m wondering about this as well. I’m hoping it’s less like the limited customization we saw in the beta, and more like what was seen in Halo 4.
Agreed
In the Beta you could change your helmet, visor colour and the rest was changed as a single body set. (i.e, you could have a Mark VI helmet and Recruit body).
Given that the pre-order for Locke’s armour seems worded along the same lines, it sadly seems as though that’s all we’re getting.
wasn’t it confirmed some time during the beta that there’s more options?
found it!
Nobody knows anything for sure, but most of the signs point to customization in the final game being the same as the beta except with many more options.
Josh said recently that “customization in the beta barely scratched the surface” of what’s available in the full game, but as others have mentioned, the Locke preorder bonus and Josh’s other comments (“we are planning on full sets”) suggest that mixing and matching armor pieces for different parts of the body seems unlikely (although not impossible).

I don’t see why they wouldn’t give us tonnes of customization. I personally believe they are going to have weapon skins and armor available to buy after launch. Look at CS:GO, people go crazy over weapons skins. Also, people are more likely to buy smaller items more often and end up spending more money in the long run. Getting free maps also makes me more likely to buy at least a few armor’s or skins.
Hopefully we get something like what we saw in Halo Online. Those sets and customization options were insane.
I want it to be equal to reach armory or more.
