Has 343 said anything at all about character models and other infection options for flood? They can keep the models but flood in Halo have used weapons and most popular infection games involved weapons like lasers, rockets, and gravity hammers.
If something like that were to be put into the game then the couldn’t keep the models. It’d just look silly. A massive fleshy sword somehow holding on to a weapon?
Anyways, to my knowledge nothing like that has been announced.

They would have to remodel the weapons and the models of the player holding them just to hold them in the left hand
