It seems the next free Battlepass is going to be Reach stuff. I’ve made some other threads on a similar topic, but now I’m really wondering, is Mark V [B] going to be free for non payers? I’ve gotten both Battlepasses (and ODST, so all I really need is a chest piece and the Security Kukri), but are other players now going to have Mark V [B]?
Again, I’d assume so, since otherwise it’s more of a “fauxree” battlepass, but has a dev confirmed anything?
Mark VB will be given to all.

So absolutely nothing as of yet to confirm or deny MKV or MKVb helmets are included.
Similar language was employ before and people got angry the free pass expired despite the language in marketing making that obvious so im not so quick to asse anything is free outside what they outright.
I’m not sure as the Mark V [B] armour core was only available via the premium pass which I bought so I could look like noble 6.
343 have said they want customisation options to come from a single vector/source to respect people’s time/money investment.
If they give the Mark V [B] armour core away with an upcoming free event pass it will go against that principle and people who spent money on the premium pass to get that armour core might feel aggrieved.
Personally, I don’t mind if they give the core away. It would be silly to have a 30 tier free event pass containing armour pieces you can’t use.

Which makes me wonder, is there compensation? I’m fine with it either way, and can see the “You guys got it a year early, plus the other stuff” side.

Well, there was A LOT more in the season 1 premium battle pass than the armor core.

I guess so. Assuming this 30 tier pass will also include challenge swaps, xp boosts, coatings, armor attachments and helmets (cqc/cqb seem to be confirmed so far), players who haven’t purchased Season 1 Pass will get far less items compared to the 100 premium rewards in S1.

Well, we did get it a year early, and on top of that we also got all the other armor. Fair deal to me.
It seems it will be, especially since there has been a leak showing Mark V [B], not standard Mark V.

I’m not stressing about it, but I think it’s a dumb move. Pretty much what this move tells me is to wait before you buy anything because you might get it for free at some point.

I do think that them making it free was inevitable. And as I said, the premium BP also gets the other armors, and a year early. The Winter Update one only gets like 3 helmets. Unless all the armor you wanted was in the free one, the paid one isn’t exactly irrelevant.
Yeah, it makes sense. When something loses value, the prices decrease.
