I have really enjoyed the new application in Halo 4 which is Spartan Ops. I felt that 343 did a great job creating a side story in the Halo Universe that was still true to the story.
After season 1 finished, I have been waiting all this time for some news on what season 2 will be like or when it may come out. I do understand that creating what is basically a second campaign takes a long time. If anyone knows any news on season 2, I would love to hear it!

That, coupled with Hale’s comments that she was working more voices for Halo 4 (she plays Palmer) lead me to believe it’s happening. “Not scheduled” could easily mean they have no release date. They don’t lie, and still get to surprise us with the official announcement.
Last week of re-runs so we will see on Monday at least what is planned for now. I read that story "No Season 2 is scheduled… "

Seeing Crimson in a campaign is impossible, since they’re your personalized Spartan IV. Unless they mean your co-op Halo 5 partner is a Spartan IV, but they wouldn’t have that planned yet so far away to make such a promise. They wouldn’t be their own characters, because that would mean taking the “you are the Spartan” aspect away from multiplayer.
Also consider Jennifer Hale is apparently doing more Halo 4 voice work. I can’t see how it wouldn’t be Spartan Ops.
If they do a Season 2, which I hope they do, I hope they looked at all the feedback from Season 1 and take it to heart.

i really enjoy spartan ops as well and based on the fact that the majority of maps in the map packs deal with earth colonies it seems they are getting ready to do a season 2, since requiem went into the sun.
At first I really thought we wouldn’t be seeing another season of Spartan Ops in Halo 4. I think I’ve figured it out though. I do think we will be getting another season of spops and I think it will come coupled with whatever Halo spinoff we get this holiday season. It will probably also be available for download to maximize profits. After the holiday season we may see one more map pack and then H2A for 2014. That will give us a year of classic mp and then we can buy H5 in 2015. It’s really a flawless schedule. Halo 4 might die off due to Halo 2 but at least 343 can say “I told you so” when talking about not wanting to fragment the population and then they will always be able to blame the death of Halo 4 on Halo 2. 
Also ensuring that we will never have to suffer through a horrid Halo 3 remake. 
I can see Season 2 starting with 2 things. Infinity gets chewed out for interfering with the assassination of Halsey. Or they begin to look for the Absolute Record and hunt for the Janus Key. Still wish there was more news on Venezia.

Emphasis on “Season 2”. Why would he speech-mark it unless it was some sort of technical smart–Yoink- way to avoid answering the question when they really are working on something? He could have just said “we aren’t working on season 2” but he said "we aren’t working on “season 2"”. Something is definitely off there, right?

It was just a thought as I agree with another post and think we are heading back to Earth and New Phoenix next and this will be as Crimson if we can return from the slip space jump as we have no idea where that took Infinity.

You said that they could be easily referring to a campaign, rather than Spops, which I then said would only be possible if your co-op partner were S-IVs in such a campaign, supposedly Halo 5. But they wouldn’t have that planned so far away. They wouldn’t dedicate a whole standalone campaign to the S-IVs because that would mean spin-offs, something they said they won’t do. And more importantly, that would mean creating personalities for Crimson, going against the idea of them being you, the player.
So Crimson currently exists only in Spartan Ops. No faults for coming up with ideas, I’m just saying that the most likely scenario is Spartan Ops. Agreed on everything else though, about where we could go in Season 2.
