any news about 'interactive elements'?

Does anyone have any news (or links) about destructible environments in Halo 5?

  • Thanks

No destructible environments necessarily, but Truth had 4 energy shields in the center of the map that could be destroyed and regenerate. There were also several interactive cover and travel routes on Eden. On the balcony area the cover in the center could be shot and it would fall down and and 2 other pieces of cover would come up at different parts. On the bottom of the map there were also giant objects that when shot in the back would lift up giving you some extra clamber routes to the top catwalks.

That’s really cool! I wasn’t aware of it

Thanks. I didn’t know that either (about truth and Eden). Here’s hoping there are more. (I hope for some create-able interactives in forge).

It would be cool to have a few in the same vein as the Halo 2: Anniversary remakes. That deployable energy bubble at the center of Zenith, for example, genuinely mixes up the range variety of that map. Makes it interesting.

Truth had destructible shields on Top Mid.

Eden had moving objects that you had to shoot to move. Two of them opened up new routes to move around the map. While the third one got rid of the cover.

And that’s it… for now…

I’m wanting Halo 5’s multiplayer to get the same treatment that Halo 2A did. I’m not asking every map have an interactive element, but one thing that made both Halo 2C and H2A multiplayer amazing was the interactive elements on a lot of the maps. It enhances the experience by so much. And of course an object to delete them in Forge is fine by me.

And the very least, the interactive elements available in H2A’s Forge need to be brought back and expanded. They’re just too freaking amazing.

I would love interactive things
