2020 has been one year to remember but does anyone think we will get a new trailer with gameplay footage of Halo Infinite before the year ends? It would be pretty cool to see some new content, maybe even insight on multiplayer.
No I dont think so
Feel like if they were it woulda been during the xbox special or on the original release date.
I’m not expecting anything special until they give the new release date, or E3 if it happens first.
No I doubt we will get more info this year. Probably more toy and junk food announcements
This is easily the biggest mishandling of any Halo title. Maybe in hindsight that trophy will still belong to H2, but so far we have.
- Longest development cycle for a Halo game with little info known 5 years after the previous game. This would suggest development isn’t going as smoothly as planned. - Main source of game info has come from brand deals. It feels like all these random corporations are controlling the flow of info not MS/343. Remember when free to play got leaked by that random toy vendor? Or how Monster confirmed coatings and charms? Or how some of the toys seem to confirm major story elements? - Released the genie out of the bottle during the July showcase. Huge fan back lash seemed to cause MS/343 to reevaluate their plan and now they have gone radio silent again despite saying they won’t.They could make an appearance at the Video Game Awards, which is where Halo Reach debuted, but I don’t have very high hopes of this happening.

I highly doubt it. The only new “news” we will receive is from partnerships with other companies which is how the last 3-4 months have gone. Amazon just recently announced a partnership as well.
I think we’ll get something, a development update at the very least, maybe a release window (if its releasing spring or fall, or whatever) probably not new footage though.

Wait really? I order my video games off Amazon most of the time, what did they say? What’s the word, any exclusive content to their retailer?
check that ‘google document’ floating around the forums. that person updates it frequently. I believe the easiest place to find it is in the first post of the thread labeled “every cosmetic we know so far”.
I think the release of the console was the last prime spot of 2020 for anything Halo related.
They aren’t going to do any early teases into December… it will just get lost in the noise of Xmas promotions for more tangible products.
They don’t need to ‘sell’ anymore consoles as they are well and truly sold out… and demand will probably exceed production for the next three months or more.
I think we are going to have to wait to 2021 for anything concrete.
Probably not, they seem pretty happy not communicating at all. It honestly feels like they don’t care. Not saying they indeed don’t care, but that’s the impression we are getting. At this point it’s more of an abusive relationship at this point. Pretty much put it at the back of your mind and hopefully we get something in like 7-8 months.

Comparing the poor marketing of a video game to an ‘abusive relationship’ is a strange analogy. Maybe want to think of a more appropriate comparison there, but I get the gist. We’re past the original release date of the game and we still aren’t even sure what it is yet.
Xbox likes showing off at the Game Awards, we are bound to see something Xbox related there but don’t get any hopes up for Halo. Just noting that if we are to see more Halo this year, it’d be there.

I suppose. Still taking every negative piece of news and assuming we should put up with it and just be ok with it with no explanation is quite an ask for 343. Even just describing it I feel my analogy was warranted. I really don’t understand they’re thinking though. They really don’t know how to handle their own product, I don’t have an understanding of how to market something perfectly but they seem content of underselling their own product.
I lost any hope on 343 showing anything anymore this year, and TBH I lost every single bit of hope on Halo Infinite, it’s dead to me. I’m just here because I still want to be a part of the community, but let’s face it, the chances Halo Infinite releases as an awful game are quite high. If you consider what’s going on with lack of news, lack of confidence, lack of graphics, lack of new original gameplay ideas, lack of studio heads, and stuff, then there really is nothing much to show.
That was me being optimistic. If I were to be pessimistic, then I would be banned.
I bet they will reveal something in January maybe, could be anything from a tid bit of info to a new trailer, but anything else this year I don’t think so.
I doubt it. While it would be nice to see some new footage here in 2020, I don’t think it’s going to happen.
