I noticed that a lot of people want weapon lowering (we have weapon lowering) for their spartan model, is there any new info we can get on this?
A spartan model lowering it’s weapon is a very important part for channels with Halo videos, specifically machinima’s.
The spartan weapon lowering model is in the game so transferring that over to multiplayer shouldn’t be that big of a deal, right?
Also noticed some people talking about fixing theater itself.
Could we get any new information on this?
The machinima community has been at the heart of Halo for as long as I can remember. I myself, really enjoy creating and helping my mates out with making machinimas. We were all looking at Halo 5 to be the Holy Grail of machinima with it being the first standalone Halo FPS on the Xbox One and also the awesome looking Forge mode. At this rate however, I just can’t stand the thought of making one in Halo 5. It hurts me too much.
The most annoying thing for me is that we already know that there is weapon lowering in the game, specifically the campaign. So is it really that hard to carry it over to multiplayer? Or did they never even think to include it in multiplayer in the first place? Don’t even get me started on the clunky and broken theater.
Please 343, you’re our only hope.

In the latest episode of the sprint, they showed multiplayer Spartans with lowered weapons. And we’ve seen it in Campaign already, so I can only assume they’ll add it in at some point. Since the animations exist. Kind of insulting when you think about it. That the Machinima community is missing such a basic feature that has been in every other Halo. But we see from 343 that the feature exists in multiple places in the game. Except for use by us. In customs. Where it matters.

Exactly, if anything the ability should be able for US in the first place
Maybe Rooster Teeth will have a word with them.
The fact that this doesn’t work actually really pisses me off, like seriously, this has been a part of halo since the beginning, and it almost single handedly started an entire community, and they couldn’t make it work.
If it doesn’t work it wont take long for them to fix it.

This issue has definitely put an unwelcome delay on my machinima projects for Halo 5…hope it gets fixed ASAP.

Yeah, they really, REALLY need to put alert carry in MP. I’ve always wanted to do a Machinima, so I was gonna wait til Halo 5 to even attempt it. Not no mo. Really, how would being able to alert carry in MP have a negative effect? OH GOD! The enemy team lowered their weapons! What will we do?! Frackin shoot em for being stupid.

Basically, weapon lowering was in the game so that people like myself are able to create short films using Halo’s engine (Machinima). To be honest, it doesn’t really look that great when you have 2 Spartans looking as though they’re gonna blow eachother’s heads off whilst having a casual conversation.
