Something I wish they’d consider doing is replacing the model for the Battle Rifle in ODST; changing it from the Halo 3 BR55HB to the H:O BR55-Pioneer.
the main reasons this idea popped out to me were because:
- the H:O Pioneer BR model is based off of the Halo 2 BR more than the Halo 3 BR, and since ODST is set during Halo 2 this actually makes more sense in the setting
- it’s a higher quality model than the Halo 3 BR, just as the Alpha Nine members are when compared to ODST NPC’s from Halo 3 proper
- it’s one of the rare few times that it wouldn’t be considered changing something from legacy since the original BR55HB wasn’t in ODST as a weapon, only it’s model as an easteregg in the one cutscene
- it’s textures fit the best with ODST’s aesthetics in general, and were even the basis for the Scarlet Thorn skin in Halo 3
I also think adding the default H:O DMR and ODST Stationary Gauss Turret to Halo 3 would be a good idea too since the former could allow the Halo 3 Automag to be reworked back into being closer to it’s original ODST/Halo 2 based stats, while the latter would have tons of potential in Forge and Custom games. (the H:O DMR would also be a funny call forward in both Halo 3 and ODST if they decide to add the H:O maps Powerhouse and Beachhead too, since supposedly both were remakes of the Reach maps bearing the same names)
I realized I never actually posted any “new” ideas for MCC till now

Definitely more skulls, since they already seemed open to the possibility when they added the acrophobia skull, so make them all available between each campaign.
Two new skulls I’d like to see for all campaigns:
-Infinite Cloak Skull (could work by tapping crouch say to toggle on/off)
-Immortal ally NPCs
Reason: AI and how fun chaotic busy battlefields can be. The AI having those different states like idle, alert, panicking, berzerking, investigating, their senses based on sight & sound, and just the scale of fights with multiple different vehicle types and footsoldier types going at it against multiple factions, and allies are endearing, the stuff they react to in Halo 2 or 3 for instance. Fun ways to showcase to players some of the strengths Halo has and let the experiment and goof around in ways they might not normally gravitate to or even get good opportunities for.
Also seconded the original backgrounds in menus, AND original credits after beating each campaign.
And I wish to see the OSTs on sale on Steam as DLC.
I already know that Workshop support is coming to Steam as they accidentally put up its forum section a few days ago, pretty sure more mod tools are coming for other entries like ODST, maybe Reach and 4 as well.
Hopefully they figure out how you could have mods without having to overwrite map files.
Oh, and more bug fixes for campaigns, and fixes for mod tools.
wait can you link something to the forums you say regarding steam workshop support?
Sadly I didn’t think of screenshotting it, they took it down after a day or so, realizing probably that it went up by accident as they were testing and tweaking things. Posted about it in a topic and on the Halo Modding Reclaimers discord, not sure if someone there took a screenshot.
They should add the Credits to each Campaign. I just beat Halo CE and it was real whiplash going from the end to the Main Menu.
Plus the Guilt Spark post credits scene was completely missing.

Honestly almost everything suggested I would also like, I’m so happy with what 343 has done with the MCC and the fact it’s still going to get content has me excited for the future.

Adding new content for Halo 2 Classic and Halo 2 Anniversary like new maps, avatars, and Elite customization. Being able to use the elite armour from Halo 2 Anniversary campaign in Halo 2 Anniversary multiplayer would be great and even in Halo 2 Classic.
I wish they added custom bindings on console I would love to change my zoom to RT like every other shooter
