I miss Team snipers! Team Slayer and Duos. (Ranked). Is there anyway anyone else is missing this? These are classics and I think without these classics we are not seeing a full volume of the halo players, new/old. My stance here would be to either A: bring back the game modes or 2 of them. or B: Rotate the game modes through a ranked rotation mode keeping two permanent ranked modes.

None yet and its the reason I rarely play ranked anymore. I play like 1 or 2 games of ranked, usually get oddball or stronghold and stop playing.
I still miss the Head-to-Head playlist in Halo 2 that never came back, lol
They never did get the settings right for any of these modes and it’s difficult without having a flexible way to fix the weapon sandbox on maps (ie Duos should have but 1 power weapon and powerup with BR starts). Forge might help and fixes to Customs game settings. But, I still don’t think it will ever be set right, anyway.
We do need to consider if it will be set up right, or it will just be an annoying game mode.
Classic settings work well too, but unfortunately we need to wait several months for Forge and new maps that support it better.

I was never really a fan of head to head, I am thinking that people were still using mouse and key then and it was quite unfair.
I couldn’t agree more with one power weapon, even no power weapon, br start and some grenade. equal guns on both sides whichever the options may be if any. Duos was so competitive it was really fun, couple minor tweaks and were off!!
I mean how long are we going to be waiting for a few game modes, things like domination, snipers and dues wouldn’t be that hard to upload and maintain. When do we see it?
It’s a F2P game now, new modes and maps will rotate in and out with different seasons, that’s how the zoomers like games, so we have to put up with it.
Burned on season 1? come back when season 2 is out, sucks but it is what it is.
I was talking about Halo 2 Matchmaking for XBox, so there was no mouse/keyboard players. However, the cheating was really bad in Halo 2, especially later in its lifecycle - where they lag your game and you couldn’t do anything. Also, there was some major balancing issues like the Sword and Plasma Pistol were both incredibly overpowered, so you can imagine how much they were in Head-to-head. I was the more honorable -style player who never really used those weapons though in the 1v1 playlist, so I suppose in a way that was why it was fun, to dominate kids who tried to use those weapons against me. The last thing was HLG (Hiding League Gaming), where a number of players would get the first kill, then go and jump off the map and hide down in some spot “nobody” knows about… however, I knew all the spots, so was always entertaining killing those players who think they’re hiding from me.
The reason Bungie took it down and claimed would never return was because they felt it brought the worst out of the gaming community.

Getting new game mods has become pointless if 343 is not adding new maps.
You mentioned snipers, but most of the maps are either a cluster, or too small making snipers a game mode pointless. This is why the forge world needs to be added ASAP.
We’ll probably get some more modes in the upcoming feb update.
(Attrition and KOTH are probably the 2 most likely, but we might get Elimination and another mode)

There’s a couple btb maps that are ok. Higher power, or fragmentation. In the older halo 2 lockout was used as snipes which was super fun. I think medium sized maps are just as fun as the bigger maps or funner.
These guys need to add in old maps or new maps. Either way we need more. I think the way we get more is make a little noise.

I like the optimism, honestly 343 has always added game types and every now and then some new maps.

Saw this video and thought, " well KOTH is in the game for offline mode, and they said Attrition would return soon."
Put 2 and 2 together and that’s the most reasonable conclusion I could come up with
I can’t seeing it being to far from the truth if not the whole truth.

I just got Halo Infinite, despite it not having a few of my favourite playlists, its a solid game. It’s the only reason why I have an xbox. Besides my friends playing on it, but even so, my man reason is Halo.
I tried to find some stuff on the new update I found forge… I feel like forge is something they benefit from more than the user. Not giving more with the BP and game modes would be a real disappointment.

Forge isn’t coming until sometime during S3, unless they do a miracle
2v2 was always one of the most played types. the game is dying just bring the game types back before its pointless.
