In any playlist, if a Halo 4 map is chosen the map will load but immediately after the map finishes loading and prior to the game starting I see the scoreboard with the message “SELECTING HOST WITH BEST CONNECTION” and, roughly 2 seconds later, the scoreboard refreshes, my name is no longer in the list, and every player has an X next to their name as if they’ve all disconnected. Subsequently the game will never load for me and I will be kicked out to the post game breakdown in which my name is also absent.
I am able to connect and play games in H1, H2C, H2A, and H3 with no issues.
To rule out any router related issues I connected my Xbox directly to my cable modem. This required a full power cycle of both the modem and the Xbox One. The issue was still present even with no router being involved in the network setup.
Before any of you mention the Xbox One Preview Program and the Wireless Display app, I am not a part of the Preview Program and don’t have the Wireless Display app.
Halo 4 is not by any means my preferred game to play however it is frustrating to be kicked from every Halo 4 map that is chosen. I feel bad for my teammates who now have to play with a man down and at the same time don’t want to be viewed as a guy who rage quits because a Halo 4 map was selected.
Any ideas as to what could be happening?
