if you would like to see maps remade please tell me they can be from any game, in fact I challenge all who see this to pick a map they wish to see remade in halo infinite.
my choices are:
death island-halo 1
quarantine-halo 2
sand trap-halo 3
spire and zealot-halo reach
long bow-halo 4
truth-halo 5
Well, it’s Blood Gulch’s turn so I wouldn’t be surprised to see it over Valhalla this time around.
As for maps I want? Mainly picks that haven’t been remade proper yet.
Halo CE - Death Island would be spectacular for a game mode with more than 16 players… I.E. The “Battle Royale that we aren’t really calling Battle Royale because it’s Halo and we call Deathmatch Slayer here” mode. Or heck, merge it with the Silent Cartographer for dynamic interior locations to explore and loot.
Halo 2 - Waterworks
Halo 3 - Ghost Town
Halo Reach - Zealot
Halo 4 - Monolith
Halo 5 - Heck I hardly remember H5’s maps. There weren’t that many if you strip away the forged ones. Probably Rig?
Are there any maps I want to see remade in Halo Infinite? Oh, absolutely!
…Chiron TL-34! And…Boarding Action! Yes, I am being genuine. Those are two pretty underrated maps right there.
As for Halo 2, I’ll most likely wish for…Colossus? Ooh, or Gemini! Difficult choice…in my opinion, Halo 2 has the best selection of multiplayer maps in the series.
Moving on to Halo 3, my pick is: uh, I don’t know, probably Guardian. Or Assembly.
Now on to ODST and I choose— oh, wait…I’ll skip that one. Halo Reach’s map is one I didn’t have to think about at all: Anchor 9! If it is not possible, then Highlands.
Finally Halo 4. Adrift or Skyline are my choices, but I prefer Skyline out of the two.
Those are the maps I choose. There seems to be a style there, eh? Of course, when I say “remade” I mean “return”, in the same way that Lockout became Blackout, or Zanzibar became Last Resort, or Chill Out became Cold Storage. I wouldn’t want the maps to be completely redesigned or it wouldn’t really be those maps anymore.
There’s plenty I would love to see come back from each game.
From CE, they would be Damnation, Chill Out and Prisoner.
-Damnation is just fun to play, and has aged surprisingly well.
-Chill Out is a fun, chaotic game very time, though I think it would benefit from NOT having a Sniper Rifle. It just kills the flow of the game.
-Prisoner would work very well with the Grappleshot, as long as there are enough to go around on the map.
For Halo 2, I would love to see Sanctuary, Gemini, Containment, District and Waterworks.
-Sanctuary is one of my favourite Halo maps, hands down.
-Gemini could really use an update, maybe with some extra passages or bridges, or even just a larger playable space so it’s not quite as cramped.
-Containment is also one of my favourites, but I would really appreciate playing it with better spawns and more vehicles.
-District is one of my favourite BTB maps, mainly because there are so many ways to get around, and plenty of good ambush spots.
-Waterworks is great, but I’d love to see the more problematic parts of it changed (sniping from the ceiling, the overly complicated middle structure). As long as the destructible stalactites return we’re golden.
From Halo 3, my picks would be Sandtrap, Rat’s Nest and Citadel
-Sandtrap is iconic because of the Elephants, they are so much fun to mess around with.
-Rat’s Nest is great for vehicle lovers, such as myself. Maybe they could add another tunnel behind the indoor waterfall for effective flanking? Maybe?
-Citadel is always fun to play, and I’d love to see it reimagined on Installation 07.
For Halo 4, I think Haven, Exile and Skyline would be great.
-Haven is simple in design, and is great for it.
-Exile is an asymmetrical Big Team map done right, and if there’s one thing Halo needs more of, it’s asymmetrical Big Team maps.
-Skyline is one of the few maps in Halo 4 that truly feels like a map from classic Halo. It’s not too big, it has obvious points of control and it’s all-around fun to play.
And finally, for Reach, my picks would be Powerhouse and Breakpoint, and maybe Wayont if we’re counting Forge maps.
-Powerhouse was always a standout for me, because it’s one of the few Reach maps where I think Reach’s gameplay truly shined. It’d be great to see it updated for Infinite.
-Breakpoint has issues (the middle ridge…), and these could easily be fixed with a remake in a new game with different mechanics. If Invasion returns, that’d be a bonus.
-Wayont is by far one of the best Forge maps in Reach, and a proper developer-made version would be awesome.
Now, if there’s one map I do NOT want to see return, it would be Colossus. There are just too many fundamental flaws with its design. 90% of matches go like this: your grabs the shotgun and hides in the extremely defendable top area, while the enemy team spams grenades up at you just praying for 1 kill. Neat aesthetics, terrible layout.
To be honest I hope those maps are not made in Forge…
h reach. beaver creek
halo ce. sidewinder, blood gulch, death island, gephyrophobia
halo 2. zenith
halo 3. the pit
halo 4. longbow
Waterworks from Halo 2. I miss getting splatters by shooting stalactites off the ceiling.
Gonna be controversial but I hope they don’t make many remakes at all. That was a big Reach and post-launch H5 problem, where they kept shoehorning classic map designs into a game with different mechanics. From what I’ve witnessed, Infinite is another Halo with completely different mechanics to classic Halos. So, they should focus on making a large variety of new maps that aesthetically call-back to classic Halo maps, without copying and pasting the same layouts again and again and again.
Or else we just get a bunch of mediocre remakes that never live up to their older counterparts, and don’t play particularly well.
I would prefer if the initial list of maps didn’t have too many remakes. It’s always interesting to see some good original maps without too strong ties to the former Halo multiplayer maps.

I’m sorry, the what? i thought the only BR 343 was interested in was the battle rifle?

That’s exactly right. They’ve made it clear there’s no Battle Royale mode. At least, not a dedicated Battle Royale mode.
The pit. Has always been my favourite map.
Blood Gulch
Avalanche
Sand Trap
Forge World
Valhalla
Raid on Apex 7
Breakneck
Spire

Yeah, but there was an interview after the campaign reveal, where a question asked was about battle royale, and the response was basically that they are working on “something like it” that they will do their “own way” and won’t be called Battle Royale.
So basically, they aren’t calling it Battle Royale to get around that little loophole.

Of course. It is important to not reuse too many old locations or it will get boring quickly because we have already experienced those places before. I was thinking more of maps that have only been in the oldest games and haven’t returned at all in future games, so having a few of those would be fine as they would feel almost brand new.
But I will say this: I really hope Infinite’s map design adopts a style more similar to that of the older games. Take Halo 2. To me, each map felt so different from the others both in layout and visual design. Meanwhile Halo 5’s maps tend to all feel the same.
I would love to see some halo 3 classics like guardian, the pit and stand off.
Blood Gulch
Sandtrap
Containment
Death Island
Longest
Wizard
You could remaster nearly all of the halo 3 maps and that’d make me happy.
But for maps i’d really like to see come back in infinite…
-Death Island
-Timberland
-Waterworks
-Guardian
-High ground
-Narrows
-Sandtrap (Include the damn Elephant)
-Forge World
-Spire
Death Island for sure

So in other words, they’ll become redundant, no?
