When you put it that way it sounds like the Fusion Pistol from Marathon, which was the inspiration for Halo’s Plasma Pistol.

Oh no! Not another EMP… my poor tanks can’t handle any more of that stress…

I think personally it might disrupt shields or something, like a bolt of lightning strikes the enemy player and disables there energy shield.

I hope it works similar to the electric grenades and stuns the enemy I believe this would be a great addition to the sandbox.
