Any ideals how improve microtransaction

Now before I get into this, I know everyone rather watch it be removed. That is never going to happen by time they pull microtransaction they pull from servers.

I feel they doing horrible job with it and they need to improve or they will have dead game on there hands.

For example they locked pre loaded color pallets as locked. What they should done sell patterns and armor coatings instead and gave are own basic colors.

One best things 343 is removed color red vs blue I wish team names were still red vs blue but I like outline better the the full paint color.

Ai they should be pump these out a lot. Have Johnson voice every time you pick up power weapon oh I know what ladies like…

Then bring basic assaintion but put make cool ones paywall but cool ones.

Now 343 say they were ever hardly used but bungie when they added them and felt the majority won’t use them said the very opposite that majority did assaination. We know 343 likes to lie so I believe bungie plus’s every pro I watch did them and I did them.

1. Challenge Swaps and Challenge system needs to be reworked and removed.
This one is the sorest point of the MTX system atm, and everyone hates it. It’s not a coincidence that our Challenges suck, leading to the need to Swap them out which then leads to players spending money. No, there should never be a system in games which blatantly abuses players then offers them a monetary way out.

2. Battlepass needs to be worth the money and pays for itself
Pretty much self explanatory, and we are getting credits next season so we can only see how 343 deals with this.

3. Focus on one Armor core, expand on it and give more customization power to the player instead.
The core system is bad, and now we have another Core coming (Lone Wolves). What 343 should have done from the very beginning is to focus all your cosmetics onto one Core, the Mk7, and to design everything to fit the Mk7. The only Core that should exist besides the Mk7 is Sangheili Core.

Once this Core system has been streamlined, give players the ability to pick their own colours again. Coatings should only ever be things like Camo, Stripes, Decal patterns and the like, not selling us a colour while restricting us from altering or customizing it. This is the most backwards style of customization I’ve seen in the past 10 years, with the only other worse system being Gender/Race locked classes.

In general, the moment you forced players to unlock cosmetics they have earned in the past, you have already alienated a good chunk of the playerbase. What 343 should really have done is have some select fan favourites unlocked from the very beginning, then introduce new armors to be unlocked for free.

Things like EVA, Recon, ODST, MKV, MKVI are all very popular helmets. The shoulder knife from Reach is also a popular cosmetic choice, so these should have been given for free.

Other than these, everything else can be either earned through a new Spartan Rank system which keeps players playing, or through the cosmetic shop. The moment Infinite decided that Battlepass is the only progression, they have doomed themselves to a playerbase which will evaporate the moment the Battlepass is completed.

As long as they go through with the earnable premium currency and its actually fair and not absurdly grindy, it’d be fine. But we know thats not happening.

Also, make the shop like Gears 5 was. Stop this rotating stock FOMO crap and add new stuff every 1-2 weeks with everything previously released available to purchase in a seperate menu.

Useless thread, just get rid of the store

The challenge system should be a way to earn XP on the side, not the main way.

Performance based XP should be the main progression (2000 score ingame=2000 XP)

The challenge section in the game would have PvP, PvE, and Campaign.

PvP would have challenges like, “get X kills, get X assists, play X matches, ect”

PvE would be similar to PvP but harder and less rewarding (to prevent farming bots)
Would also include challenges for Warzone/Firefight and other PvE modes like that when they come out (Warzone progresses both PvP and PvE)

Campaign challenges would be simple, “kill X grunts, complete X levels, Kill X boss, ect ect.”
They could have more difficult challenges that give better rewards as well.
That goes for all 3 challenge types

Of course, stuff would need to be adjusted to make up for the “increased” progression speed

Nah, the core system is nice because it allows them to make more interesting armor.
However, if something CAN be crosscore (we know a lot of stuff can), it should be.
When you look at something in the store/BP, it will tell you what cores it applies to, that way, you know what you are getting.
So, say a chest piece fit on the MK V and MK VII but not Yorai.
It would say “Applies to MK V, MK VII”
Or if it was MK. VII and Yorai but not MK. V “Applies to MK. VII, Yorai”

This would be a great system imo.

Bring reach’s style progression system back

That would be the best option imo.

New seasons/events don’t have “passes” they just add stuff to the “store”
You gain credits/XP through gameplay and then can buy stuff from the store.
Or, you can simply buy credits/XP straight from the store to get stuff faster.
You can also buy premium accounts that get you x2 or x3 the Creditgain from a match

Literally everything that has ever been available should be purchasable in a catalog or through the customization menus (the only exception being special achievement based unlocks - i.e. rank and campaign unlocks). The store should only be a place where new items are shown and bundles are curated/featured “on sale”.

Also, cut the prices in half.

All this does is create more work for the coder to keep adding different Core lineups and their UI is gonna suffer greatly, if it hasn’t even suffered enough limitations.

A single Core like H3 or Reach worked the best especially with how modular the system was because instead of trying to force everything to look different, you shaped them to look cohesive and match the core. Yoroi is in fact the worst Core of the lot because it doesn’t have good aesthetic matches with Mk7 or Mk5b, both of which can complement each other stylistically.

But if you take Yoroi and design it for the Mk7, it would have looked much better instead of being essentially a samurai style armor that hides all the other customization features which the game offers (Player body size and the such)

Considering this is a “new game” and they are selling it to audiences with a f2p business model, I knew they were gonna sell us old armors from the start, because the only people who sees the rip off in these old armors being sold to us are old time players, while new players will just see them as new armors.

The stinging thing is how much they are charging. They’re basically insulting us with this sort of pricing. What they should have really done is sell a huge bundle for say, 20 bucks and it contains all the fan favourite selections from an old armor set.

Reach set - 20 bucks
Spartan 4 set (H4 and 5) - 20 bucks

And oh, Mk5 and Mk6 helmets should have been default unlocks from the start.

And how does making everything fit one core not do that? They have to take stuff like the Samurai armor and make it fit the MK. VII core, that is a lot more work than just figuring out what pieces fit where

Explain to me how they are going to make this game last when they can only make one core? They won’t, look what happened to MCC and that was only 8 seasons.

Hides “all” the other customization features? What does it hide other than body type (if that can even be called “customization”?

I’m saying they should have done this from the start, so Yoroi won’t even bloody exist as its own core.

Because MCC has, iunno, 6 different games? You’re comparing 6 games with different graphical and aesthetic directions for each title, of course they would have a “core” for each title. Unless you want to somehow make Halo 4 models look native to CE? What you gonna do? Graphically degrade them?

That’s not what I meant, the Yorai armor would look vastly different and just wouldn’t look like Samurai armor at all.

That has literally nothing to do with what I said, who said anything about MCC having “cores” Lol

You’re implying that MCC lost popularity cos it doesn’t have a core system? Your’e kidding right? It lost popularity because Infinite came out and it’s the hot new thing. But MCC is gradually regaining its playerbase and it’s also a collection of old games, it’s natural that it lost popularity over time.

Core system would have never “saved” MCC because of the fact it’s a buy to play game collection of old games, so naturally there will be a lesser audience unless they are willing to drop money into buying the game. If Infinite’s only reason for releasing cores is to retain an audience through FOMO events, then Infinite’s already a doomed game.

Infinite can run much better without all these separate cores because face it, the Samurai armor isn’t even that popular of a design, it’s used because it’s free.

I don’t have time for trolls who put words in my mouth.
Have a great day

*every time you hop into a Scorpion tank in any part of the game, not just multiplayer. The lore reason for this could be that Master Chief is still reminded of the legendary hero Sergeant Avery Johnson whenever he uses a Scorpion tank, even years later.

You cannot improve garbage just throw it out. Forgive people not having incentive to spend money when you have no consistent content.

Was thinking the same thing you both nailed it perfectly of what would make it better

  1. Combine any needlessly split up cosmetics into one (emblems, vehicle / weapon skins, coatings should apply to everything within their category) Not only does this massively devalue those cosmetics in the eyes of players since they can only be used on one thing but it just leads to you having an awkward mismatch of colours.

  2. Enable cross core between any spartan cores with similar body sizes / aesthetics. Essentially everything but the fracture cores which obviously would be harder to make cross core. Also visors / coatings should just be cross core with everything as they have no excuse unlike armor pieces.

  3. Store needs a complete overhaul preferably to end up looking like a catalogue where everything is available individually at all times. The current store is just way too small and slow frustrating the community and heavily limiting the amount of money 343 could make. Bundles could still exist but actually be rotational deals instead of rip offs. The current store just isn’t sustainable.

  4. Tie credits to the weekly ultimate to give players a free way to obtain credits. The current rewards just aren’t motivating people to play so including credits which will allow them to save up for something they do want would go a long way.

  5. Bring back basic emblem customization from previous games. This wouldn’t invalidate the current emblems as an option as the ones we have now are more detailed. Give people choice.

  6. Separate emblems from nameplates like in MCC. This gives players more choice while also having something new to monetize.

  7. Set consistent pricing for things instead of it being contradictory like it is now. No more selling 8 skins for 600 and 1 for 300.
