Like the topic says itself, I want to get better at shooting at this game but as I ranked up I find myself losing each firefight on after the other. I got to the point were I perform better with homing weapons than anything else and it doesn’t help the radar of this game if -Yoinking!- garbage, you might as well have no radar in this game.
One of the ways I like to warm up is Warzone assault. It’s not going to get overly campy, and the game is very fast paced, forcing you into shootoffs. not going to affect your K/D and can help with practicing those firefights.
Other than that, legendary campaign maybe? I hate to be the one who says practice practice practice, but repetition of those fights are how you’ll get better! best of luck to you
Forge. Place fusion coils at spawn/sniper areas. Take 4 columns and places them in front of them making the target smaller to simulate a smaller hit box. I haven’t used H5 forge but this worked on the rest.

A simple one, play SWAT! You learn were about you should be shooting to get headshots which you can transfer that to other gamemodes and out shoot someone.
Go on YouTube and watch Pingy’s videos. He has a 3.5 KDR and is very good with his precision weapons such as the BR and DMR. Trust me, you’ll get better just by watching his videos.
Play a ton of SWAT. This will get you to increase your headshot accuracy and is good warmup before getting into a Warzone match.
KEEP THE RETICLE ON THE HEAD. This has to be the number one rule to being good at FPS games.
Play some 1v1s on an “octagon” map with a friend of similar skill. I haven’t seen any in h5 but I’m sure they exist.
If you don’t know what it is, basically its a small map with either little or no cover and fast respawns. Its a great way to practice not only your shots, but also your strafe (which can be a sometimes neglected aspect of your game) because you can get hundreds (literally) 1v1 gun fights in 15 minutes or so.
There’s a lot that goes into being good at halo, and shooting and strafing are at the core of that, like dribble in basketball. But obviously there’s a lot more to basketball than dribbling and shooting. In Halo its also important to understand:
when you’re outnumbered - knowing when to chase a kill and when to let it go - communication (beyond just saying "one shot on my X) - listening to and working with your teammates; bait-and-switching, keeping track of power weapons (counting how many rockets are left, etc) - knowing when to get down. (this one is my least favorite) it means ending a gun battle before you or your opponent is dead to ensure that you don’t unnecessarily give the other team a kill/give up some kind of advantageIMO the best way to get better at most of these is to play doubles, but sadly that isn’t a playlist as of now :(((
