No they said Halo 5 will never come to PC.
Halo 5 isn’t coming to PC. Even if it did they’d have to create separate servers for the PC.
They need to keep it separate from console gamers. The day they let PC gamers play against console gamers is more likely they kill their consoles all together. #1 it’s a lot easier to use cheats and hacks on PCs so they would have a very unfair advantage. #2 a lot say PC gamers have an advantage in aiming, not sure how or if it’s true but have heard it on several sites so thought I would add it. But I am more concerned with the easier cheating that PC gamers have.

In Matchmaking sure but wouldn’t it be nice to be able to play with our friends in custom games that don’t have an xbox one?

Anti-Cheat systems are really well made these day’s and its really rare to see cheating if the company do anti-cheating right. The real reason they won’t make all the matchmaking crossplay is the mouse and keyboard on PC. Just think of how you use the mouse to it the “Submit” button. Or to close the window of your internet Browser. You go faster with the mouse when you want to point on something. Its the same when you want to shoot at someone in Halo. When you use a controller you always go at the same speed (Kind of if we count the joystick “tilt” angle.) And the keyboard let you do more input’s (by binding differents key’s or macros etc.) Keyboard is not a really big factor but mouse certainly is. Some people with controllers will annihilate some other people with mouse/keyboards. But if you take two people and one mastered mouse/keyboard while the other one mastered controller. I assure you the person with the mouse/keyboard will be more precise and “better”.
On the other end, like in the next Gear of War, Coop (And custom games I think) will be crossplatform. In my vision of things every game that have coop/custom games should be cross-platform. No need to separate the communities that much. For competitive/matchmaking? Maybe a playlist where both PC and Consoles can play together, so if I want to play with my friend who have a console I can.
Finally, I think complete cross-platform may not be this far… Phil Spencer confirmed around one or two months ago that mouse and keyboard support was coming for Xbox One and One S in the next months. And not only for the interface but also for games. (You can look for the article on google because sadly I don’t have the rank to post links 
) I’m pretty sure this could mean we can have cross platform on Halo because there won’t be any real disadvantage now. It would reunite the PC/Xbox market and that’s a good thing. For the community and Microsoft. Because honestly with this change a Xbox One S become a really interesting buy for me and a lot of PC gamers I know. All the games I buy from Microsoft, I have them both on Xbox and PC? And I can play on my dedicated gaming PC or on the little console that is the Xbox One S while im on my couch? They are giving more choices to us the customers. I think it’s really a good thing for us gamers. It would really be amazing to see Xbox and PC players to be able to play together in every title’s coming. It would also really increase the player base of every game so it would be easier to find game lobbies!
(If you want to see a great example of this kind of future go look on youtube for the Forza Horizon 3 CO-OP E3 presentation, in there two players are playing on Xbox One,the other one is on a computer with a remote controller and the final one is on a 4K gaming rig with a Driving Wheel.)
If you tell me this isn’t amazing and it would not be great to see something like this in Halo I don’t know what would make you more happy than being able to play with so many new people and remove this barrier between two communities.

As some other people said they don’t want to put the resources in remaking the game on PC, they prefer to work on Halo 6 (which will release for PC) and maybe a Halo 3 remaster (But this is just speculation). So sadly, the game doesn’t have matchmaking on PC (And never will PC will have matchmaking until a Halo 3 Remaster or Halo 6).
After talking with some people from more PC oriented forums i made a little Discord Server to talk about Forge Creations and make custom games on PC.
If you also just want to find some people to talk about Halo,test forge maps or to ask some feedback on your forge projects because you don’t want or can’t play on PC it’s also here for that!

I don’t know at all your background with PC gaming, but we are not all PC Glorious master Race Elitist. On my side, I just want to have fun while playing one of my favorite game on PC. So if you are interested don’t be afraid you won’t see people scream against consoles in the server x)
