Ok… Infinite has been moved to ‘sometime 2021’… but it must have been close to a launch release.
What do you think the chances of some sort of campaign demo or MP beta are for the Series S/X launch?
There were brief discussions about the game releasing in parts… so some (eg. multiplayer) sound like they are further advanced than others.
No, not going to be in parts and the only thing left this year for Halo that we know is the ODST Firefight for the Master Chief Collection and the Shadows of Reach book.
I think it would be a great time to see some stuff, but who knows when 343 will reveal things.
Could be a sweet treat since that might have been the release date.
I’m not holding my breath, but announcing a Beta for Nov 10th at their next stream would be a really good move. Heck, make it Series X/S exclusive for the first few weeks to push console sales.
It would be nice for 343 to release something on the intended release date. High hopes would be for a flighting program, but I’d settle for the start of a more intensive marketing campaign than we’ve received thus far. A middle ground would be the start of an ARG, but I’m not trying to be too optimistic.
A demo would be absolutely fantastic, I would probably spend a good while exploring that one part shown in the campaign demo, even if its just what’s shown and you can’t explore the other anti air cannons. If they can’t do anything gameplay wise, though, I would be just as fine with some information about multiplayer or campaign. At least something we can know about the game before 2021 would be nice.

God please dont do that! LOL im trying to hold off on the purchase of the new console until the new Halo exclusive X drops (assuming there will be one). That is a very strategic marketing move though…KUDOS to you sir or ma’am
I really kinda hope its not a “holiday 2021” release. It will have to compete with so many other titles that launch at that time, and with its current track record, 343 needs to knock it out of the park when it launches. A spring 2021 would be beneficial for them, as many games aren’t released at that time. This would give them an advantage, and allow them to the needed time to be the “only new” title during that time frame. Inifinte could easily have all the attention from players it needs during that time to garner the support it needs to keep going, or the criticizim it may need as well.
I don’t think Halo needs to compete with other titles in its genre, especially if there is abit at stake regarding the series continuation.

Id be in the same boat as you though (waited for Halo 3 before getting a 360, and MCC before a One), but now with those cheeky monthly subscription options, I’m a little temped.
But making the Beta exclusive for a few weeks would also benefit 343, as it would allow them to test it at scale. While the Beta would definitely be popular, I imagine the numbers would grow steadily as people got their hands on the new consoles, allowing 343 to better manage it and work out the kinks, before opening it up time the X1 crowd. If it went live for everyone at the same time, we’d probably crash it.
Monster might have accidentally revealed a timeframe for Infinites launch. If you take the survey after redeeming Double XP with your points, it says they’ll send you a code in February to get a multiplayer emblem. Halofollower thought the screenshot was fake and easy to debunk, but it’s literally public knowledge. Kind of surprised he covered it for ten seconds and let the screenshoy rot. Take the survey next time you redeem any XP and you’ll get the same February 2021 message for an emblem. Now, keep in mind I am in no way confirming that Infinite will release in February, but it’s extremley freakin wierd that they are pruposley waiting to let you redeem the emblem while all other content we’ve been granted access to is available to redeem right now. The Double XP, the Nerf AR skin and charm, and the Mega Construx Energy Sword charm. All this can be redeemed right now. The only other item requiring a wait time is the BR Skin, but that’s because they want you to work for it by collecting a special code each month from the Snapchat filter.
