Can anything be generalized about when a second base should be built? Maybe around what time would a quick yet somewhat reasonable expansion happen. How many minutes should pass before one considers a 3rd?
I dunno post 5 minutes. You really only need mini pads before then.
Atriox can build a 2nd base right when the game starts or as soon as you get fortifications 2 (somewhat less effective after the nerf yesterday). Cheaper bases and faster and cheaper base upgrades and turrets means you need to build several bases early to gain an advantage.
Everyone else should probably go for the mini bases first since a regular base is a large investment and takes forever.
I usually build a second base after the 7:00 minute mark. But I’m no pro, that’s just what I do.
