On August 10th Tom French on twitter hinted that something big and amazing was coming to forge this update that was “eating up programming time”. The file browser and Windows 10 port were both already announced at this point, so what could this mysterious feature be? My guess is its either it’s ai, forge for warzone(considering they are adding reqs in, it seems like a natural evolution), vehicle welding, a combination of them, or something completely new.
Either way, i’m pretty sure that we’ll get a lot of new peices anyway, but this mysterious feature has me interested.
What do you think it could be?
It might just be that one thing (I forgot what it’s called) where you can save a group of objects and others can use them or you can take them to other maps. Let’s say you build a scarab. You can then group all of the pieces together and save the scarab. Then you can move it to other maps and others can use it too.

Yeah, I thought that it might be prefabs for a second. However, I then remembered that Tom French or someone else confirmed it months ago too, I believe on Twitter as well :/. But maybe it is, maybe it isn’t, we have a few weeks before it drops, and the next community update is on Friday, so a lot could happen. But to be honest, I have this idea in the back of my head that this might just be like the falcon or this new playable elites rumor,in that, we’ll, or at I’ll get all hyped for it, and for it not to happen and be disappointed when they never officially confirmed it in the first place, but I’m trying to be a little optimistic. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
Confirmed already that AI will not be placeable in Halo 5’s forge. Sorry for the buzz kill.

At all? Ever? On Twitter he(Tom French) said that there will be ai at some point in forge, he just needs time to do it right so it feels “like halo ai”. Of course, there is a chance that they won’t be able to added in time, but unless they confirmed it recently, and I just haven’t noticed it yet, then I wouldn’t necessarily rule it completely out. If they did confirm that it won’t be their, please give me a link to it. Thank you in advance if that’s the case.

I don’t think the forge engine could handle it? It struggles to have more than 100 rocks and trees

Covenant crates and Covenant shields ?

That’d actually be pretty cool, although I assumed they would add them in anyway, since they announced before that they were bringing in spirits and phantoms, and then in June they announced they were working on a palette of covenant peices, so I assumed they would add them in soon anyway. If they do, then I’m excited that I can now make my covenant maps actually look like covenant maps instead of just a purple or blue map that has curvy architecture.
