After watching the Forward Unto Dawn trailer again, I noticed something. One of the main characters is called Chyler Silva (Anna Popplewell). Silva? Does anybody else recognize that name?
A relative of this man maybe? If you don’t know already, Major Silva was in charge of the ODSTs aboard the Pillar of Autumn during the Battle of Installation 04.
Anyway, just thought I’d share that with you. I like how 343 are connecting the Universe together.
Probably, probably not, there are multiple Silvas.
But I doubt Antonio is the father.
I was just about to make a post about this. While I doubt the two are related, it would be interesting if they were. Perhaps they could be brother and sister (the series seems to begin before the Covenant show up).

Yes, maybe he’s her older brother. By the time Halo CE comes around he’d be about 40ish I suppose so it makes sense.
And yes, you’re right, this takes place during the first few months of the war.
I also found it very interesting. I personally believe it’s a shout out to those who have read the book and greatly appreciate it!
well I guess we’ll either find out when it comes out. If not then the name is still cool for making us think this.

Did the book ever give an age for Silva? I don’t recall.
technically no… but it did describe with some detail like silver hair, and other stuff like that, i dont remember all the details. but as you can imagine anyone with that kind of rank wouldn’t so young, no…

Well, I personally imagined him being older. Mid 50s at least. He was a Second-Lieutenant in the ODSTs in 2525, so he would have had to of been in the military for a few years by that time.

What are you talking about? In Halo: The Flood. Silva mentions that he was a Second Lieutenant in the ODSTs at the time that John-117 beat up those ODSTs right after he got his augmentations. That would be the year 2525.
Then, Silva would have to have been at least 18 to be in the military (let alone an officer), though I’d imagine, based on the context of the novel, he’d been active for a few years at that point. Then again, I could very well be wrong.

I’m well aware of the draw backs to a wiki (I personally have a few issues with the Halo wiki), but over all, they are an amazing tool.
I actually got through high school with the help of wikipedia, much to my teachers’ dismay.

The woman is Chyler Silva, and the man is Thomas Lasky. We are talking about Chyler having a relation to Major Antonio Silva from the book The Flood. If they are related, they would likely be siblings.

actually that guys name was tomas lasky, and actually that name lasky sounds familiar…
Actually, not only is the name Silva familiar, so is Vickers… gotta dig into my books here to find that name as well…
