Hello, I have a question. What is your level of anticipation and excitement for the upcoming Halo Infinite? Personally I am excited that the Master Chief is going to be the main character again. And, I am also very excited that split screen will be coming back in Halo Infinite. What are your thoughts? Thanks and keep up the great work.
The things that I am most excited to see are the improved reward system with unlocking armor, what cortana and the guardians roles will be in the story, and how the multiplayer will be like. this is the most excited I have been for any game since batman: arkham knight
im at a 7.5 so far im really interested in how the story will advance after the events of halo 5 which it seems to be a few years after 5 took place also im glad the customization seems to be similar to reach’s which is by far the best one in the whole series also the general direction of the game seems to be a lot better than what 5’s direction was definitely cant wait to see more
I’m pretty excited about Halo Infinite.
Though I don’t use Splitscreen Gameplay myself, I’m happy for all those who will get to play it again after it went AWOL in Halo 5 (the same with LAN for LAN Parties) - presumably that’s all part of what Bonnie Ross meant in an interview about Halo Infinite being designed to “bring our community together”.
Personally, I’m looking forward to exploring Zeta Halo and it’s Lore (which covers everything from the Precursors to the Forerunners, Ancient Humans, the Flood, to the Covenant species like the San Shyu’um etc.), especially as after Halo 5 where “Locke was designed to be a cross-between James Bond and Lara Croft” (said Brian Reed), there now seems to be a big emphasis on exploration and many hints about Infinite being a Halo FPS Game but with influences from “Rise of the Tomb Raider” (hence maybe Tim Longo’s role at 343i, having previously been involved in the Tomb Raider reboot).
Compare this Rise Of The Tomb Raider trailer as if it were part of the Halo “Reclaimer Saga”:

With the style and imagery of the Halo Infinite Game Engine Demo amid the ancient Archaeology of Zeta Halo:

Of course, with 343i “Awakening the Nightmare” in Halo Wars 2, if we replace Lara’s father and “his experiment with the spirits of the underworld” here with “Faber and his experiments with the Flood on Ancient Humans”, perhaps we’ll also experience “Master Chief’s Nightmare” which leaves him and us wondering “Oh Faber - what did you do?”

A Halo/Tomb Raider crossover game set on Zeta Halo?! Outrageous!
I’m interested in how the story will be after Halo 5 and what they’ll do with Cortana and the created. I’m hoping the Flood will return but I’m trying not to make that an expectation.

After Halo 5 I’m more apprehensive than I am excited. We have not seen gameplay, we know nothing more than what the armour might look like, and we know nothing about micro transactions and how they’ll be implemented, my hype is firmly on ice tbh.
I do have some optimism for Halo Infinite and I’m looking forward for LAN to be back as my friends and I can have Halo parties again (assuming my friends will buy the game too lol) but until I see actual gameplay of single player and multiplayer, and I get questions answered like is LAN truly offline? Or will I still need an internet connection?? Is ADS style zooming coming back? (I absolutely hate the look of it) Does it have the sprint animation? Has the single player turned into some kind of weird open world RPGish type of game? And so on… my excitement level is still pretty average.
As much as I hate saying it, I just don’t think 343I and even Microsoft to a degree, have the guts to do certain things that I feel is needed to make Halo, Halo again.
Regardless, don’t get me wrong I am looking forward to the game and I’ll be getting it, unless it’s a huge pile of garbage or ridiculously broken like TMCC was
as I’m a big story and multiplayer guy, but how much time I spend with it after (in multiplayer) once I beat the story, well that’ll depend on how the multipleplayer is… I’m guessing a lot of my questions, if not all will be answered come E3 2020.
Cautiously optimistic. After the E3 '18 reveal, I was ecstatic to see the return to a more classic visual design sensibility circa Halo 3. I thought it indicated a change in 343i’s entire philosophy in steering the series. Since, I’ve seen some stuff to diminish that optimism as well as my baseline belief that 343i was drastically altering their ways.
Now I’m back to very cautiously optimistic. I don’t have it in me anymore to maintain a hype level as high as I did in the two years leading up to Halo 4 (which is good, because that was the single biggest pop-culture letdown I’ve ever experienced, personally).
