Anti-cheat Incident

Greetings,

I’ve tried to reinstall MCC again 4 days ago but for some reason, whenever i select the social games option under multiplayer, i’m greeted with a pop-up message that tells me there was an anti-cheat incident, unknown file version (mcc\content\paks\mcc-windowsnoeditor.pak). I’ve searched countless sites for a solution and found many suggestions, from restarting the PC (which didn’t fix the issue), reinstalling the game completely (also didn’t work) to verify the game files. I should mention that i looked into the folder that the pop-up message is referring to but there’s no file inside the folder.

Now i tried verifying the game files and steam went ahead and said that 2 files would be reacquired but, upon downloading said files, i get a ‘‘disk read error’’ every time, i already re-downloaded the game many times, i already tried repairing the steam directory, cleared download cache, changed region, deactivated both anti virus and firewall and then trying again, checked if my hard drive was malfunctioning (it works just fine according to windows) but nothing works. I can’t seem to go past this disk read error no matter what option i take.

This isn’t the first time i played MCC, last time i had played it was about 6 months ago and it’s the first time i’m getting this issue.

Help would be very much appreciated.

Here’s a link for the error message: Imgur: The magic of the Internet

Go to your Halo installation folder and reinstall EAC

Windows:
C:\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps\HaloMCC\installers

Steam:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\installers

If none of these URLs is your location do the following:

1.- Start Halo MCC
2.- Open the Task Manager
3.- Right click on the Halo MCC process
4.- Click on Open file location
5.- Find installers folder

Im having this problem now too, but everytime i play a match i can play until i kill someone, then it tell me the same error and i have to repair through the intallers

I had the same issue, run the repair ERKmuchoFLOW recommended and actually got into a game

No having the same issue as you DetectiveZuZu and have not been able to find any real fixes.

I have restarted my pc, re-installed the game and verifiied the files a million times (not literally but alot)
Help would be nice
