From playing lots of Stronghold games, it seems everyone just spams nothing but Hornets as UNSC. You build tons of Wolverines or Reavers and they still lose to the hornets. This shouldn’t be happening.
Anti air vehicles on their own can be cumbersome and lacking in cannon fodder, try mixing it up with marines/grunts with wolverines/reavers and I’m sure you will do a lot better. Don’t forget that even though wolverines and reavers are anti air they are still vehicles and air units are strongest against vehicles.
I feel like they already do decent damage. Maybe just give them a hp buff or armor buff? And their ROF doesn’t really help if you’re pitting an even army of wolverine/reaver against an army of hornets/banshees. Their ROF makes it so that they all shoot at one target and not even have half of the missile barrage do any damage since the target already died, and then they die during the reload time. Maybe micro them better or spam marines? Aircraft are inherently strong against vehicles too, so there’s that.
Quite honestly I’ve never felt reavers to be weak at all. Even pre patch.
Even in a game today I repelled a condor with just 5 of them.
I’ve never played strongholds so I don’t know exactly how that works out. But in Deathmatch, Reavers are just fine.

One hundred percent agree with this reavers are one of the few units in the game I think have been balanced from the start.
They just need to add a debuff to aircrafts when its attacking its counter unit or add a defense buff to anti-air when attacked by aircrafts.
Plus I think “Wolverines” can use a Y ability, like in halo wars 1. To me “Reavers” is a better anti-air unit then the “Wolverine” and its has a stun ability.
The games tutorial says that infantry is supposed to counter air units when no infantry is green against air units, not on UNSC or Banished. Its a waste of time to build infantry unless you want to kill enemy infantry or vehicles.
My suggestion is to make 2 of the infantry units on both sides green toward air, cuz reavers cost way to much and populatuon for them is too high. Otherwise you have to upgrade banshees to deals green damage against air units.

My only complaint is the energy cost is a bit too much for Reavers. I would lower it to 75.
yes you are right, anti air need buff. many times i destroy 3 condors, but now 1 condor with 3 nighglade are very hard to kill.l

Infantry is a soft counter to air
Are you getting your global vehicle upgrades?

That is because infantry is cheap. If they had green damage against air it would be OP. Marines already deal enough damage to air.

If someone tell me what infantry can destroy aircraft because I can’t find any infantry that can destroy aircraft talking about the three rock paper scissors thing infantry destroys aircraft aircraft destroys ground and ground destroys Infantry I tried different methods of Infantry accept the cheap troops they’re okay but when it comes to three condors 4 vulture cheap Infantry destroyed can destroy them so can someone tell me which one and how is that possible when it comes to Infantry
I find Wolverines to be very effective vs air in this latest patch. Then again I’m mailing kinsano so recline helps with them having permanent speed increase to zoom around and outrun air units before they can flee.

5 Mechanics (15pop) can easily trash 3 Wingmans(also 15 pop).
I agree the hornet swarms give me headache but I’m not 100% sure it needs a change. I think mixing infantry helps. I’ve had an all vehicle upgraded wolverine swarm get trounced by hornet and banshee swarms caus they like Dodge my y move… Gotta be more a me than game problem
