I’ve noticed posts starting to pop up mentioning difficulties connecting to the servers, playing forge or playing campaign.
This makes me wonder are we in for another Christmas of an unplayable Halo Infinite, where we struggle to enjoy the game over the Christmas season until 343i come back from their holidays. I’m not here to demand people are in work over the festive period, but i do hope that unlike last year 343i have contingency plans in place to ensure a fun filled festive period for Halo fans, from new players who join us over Christmas to the seasoned players who can’t wait to get online with friends and have fun.
Only time will tell but my fingers are crossed we won’t have sketch or other members from the community team popping up on social media with an “Oops our bad” message while these forums explode with anger.
In the mean time, have fun, be safe and I wish all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hopefully not. I feel like finding games has been quicker than usual lately and haven’t had too many issues with disconnect. Prob the first time I can say that for a while now. Ping also running 30-50 seems to be average for me so haven’t had much to whine about…. Other than lack of mic users and team communication.

The last few years have been hard for everyone on earth, the pandemic’s not exactly over, employment’s trouble to find and what employment you can find you have to hold onto tightly.
It’s not easy these days.
People deserve some time off. I’m hoping they enjoy their break. It’s not even a 20 day break by my count.

Based on 343i’s pattern since this game launched, I feel it’s dangerous to take it for granted 343i has contingency plans. A lot of their actions have always been “reactions to problems” and rarely “in anticipation of problems”. I’ve learnt it’s better to keep expectations in check and assume the worst first. If things don’t turn out so well, at least I’m somewhat mentally prepared. If things turn out better than expected, it’s a pleasant surprise to enjoy.

And so it begins, difficulties finding games, connection to server issues, lag spikes, desync. I know 343i are on their holidays (and hopefully return refreshed and ready to push Halo hard) but surely there must be some body minding shop be it a 343i employee or someone from the azure team. Come Christmas day if things dont change we could be looking at a complete meltdown of Halo multiplayer.
Why can I not find the holiday grenades to put as a chest piece?
They may not be applicable your armour core
