another way to reduce quitters

Another GREAT way to help with would be quitters etc is to introduce another stat in the players Service Record showing how many times a person has dropped from a game

(regardless of them just having a sh_ty internet service that drops every 10 seconds or whatever)

this can help with people who want to have good reliable players on their friends list and on their “preferred players” thingy

eg.

Games Played - 217

Games Won - 147

Games lost - 70

Games Quit - 23

blah blah and so on…

i think by just having a number there that can be viewed by everyone will make players take things more seriously, thoughts?

How can you play 217 games, yet win, lose, and quit a combination of 240 games?

mmmidunno? i guess the games you quite are counted as losses… i think that pretty reasonable

Hm. I suppose that makes sense. I wouldn’t put that with losses though. It would skew the data a bit.

regardless of how its implemented, i just feel that having that on a players quick viewing Service record while in the lobby would help alot, folks would have to worry about K/D ratios AND now quit numbers (hardcore players at least)

The best way is to derank them due to excessive quitting.

but wouldnt that help “derankers” ? and besides losing ranks isnt that bad… unless its extremely difficult to rank up

Sorry OP, the idea is not to bad, but why would anyone care?
I never spent my time in MM lobby to check out every player, and even if I did, when I saw a “habitual quitter” I could do nothing about it. If he’s on my team, I know that he’ll most likely quit, if he’s an opponent, I’ll get an easy game.
Either way, why would he care?
It would be smarter to make quitters loose some exp/points/cR and maybe even unlocked items if they quit enough, and eventually put them at a “quitters” playlist if they quit a lot. Still, it would probably just hurt the population as they would migrate to other games.

Best thing to do is what 343i is doing, allow people to join in progress and quit if they like, that way you’ll never play 1 VS 4 again, and people who “have to go” or got crappy connection won’t be punished either. (social only, not ranked)
