Alright time to put in my two cents about the req reveal. I had a bad feeling the Falcon wasn’t gonna be in the new update, mostly because I couldn’t see how it could be balanced properly with the rest of the sandbox. I’m not necessarily disappointed that the new vehicle is a phaeton variant.
What I AM disappointed about is how 343 used the ONI symbol to cover this. I felt like it was pretty deceiving and led people on to believe that the falcon was gonna be revealed. Knowing how 343 often looks at the feedback and forums for ideas on the game, they should’ve had a pretty clear idea that Halo fans wanted to see the return of the falcon. And now because of all this hype and unnecessary secrecy about the phaeton, peoples expectations are now shattered and the forums are now blowing up with hate towards 343. I really think this req reveal couldve been handled better by 343, but that’s just my opinion.
No idea what made then think hiding the phaeton behind an ONI symbol was a good idea.
The ONI symbol implies exclusively (well, until now) that it’s gonna be a human vehicle.
So you think they meant to put that oni symbol there… I guess they meant to call the BR an assault rifle and the smg a dmr as well. I guess they meant to put two shark tooth grin on it as well.

Indeed. 343 is becoming more deceptive as time moves on.
Know what I learned when I took business classes? That lying to your customers, or deceiving them in any way with false advertisement, can come back to bite you in the kishkers

It was more likely a mistake like all the other mistakes on the picture.
The thing I don’t get is they’ve blurred out plenty of legendary reqs in the preview, so why did they decide to put an oni symbol behind this phaeton variant??

Because they wanted to screw with everyone’s hopes and dreams.

The thing is 343 never mentioned the mistakes or fixed them. Even if they say that it was a mistake it would be to late and the damage would be done. Also seeing they didn’t fix any of them or mention them they probably did it on purpose.
Exactly. Why hide it behind a ONI symbol and lead us all on to believe that it was a human made vehicle. Plus it’s for an update called Memories of Reach, what were they expecting us to think?

Who cares if they didn’t mention them. They were clearly there.
There’s plenty of other topis you could have used for this.
