Why is this still an issue, I’m sick to death of these american servers, The region lock proved that there’s a strong player base where i am to play the game without issue. We said it from day one that the region lock needs to be either user selective or the search needs to increase over time elapsed if MM is having difficulties finding a game. I’m not good enough to play diamond/onyx players at a disadvantage. Both of these suggestions will please both parties, the Australians and pro players get to select a wider search or as time progresses the wider search is automatically enforced, and the player base who want a region lock take their long search times upon themselves.
It’s prime time EU playing time and I’m still playing on american servers, I haven’t played on a single EU server today, it’s a joke.
Actually in Aus, we don’t appear to - Still can’t find a game besides Warzones (which I despise).
Expensive lesson learned.
They should just let us choose which server we want to play in it.
I rather liked region lock. As an Australian player, I never seemed to have an issue finding games in almost any playlist or game mode since release. Quick searches, within AU/NZ was a paradise. Up until search preferences and warzone FF came out, it became hell for ANZ players. Can’t find games at all anymore, it’s sad. I just wish 343 does something to cater for the ANZ players.
For me as a UK player I dont really like region lock, it prevented me from being able to get games as I play from 8am to about 2 am so I got use to partying up US players and playing to their standard. The optional region lock that the OP suggests I could work with though, played dubz this morning and got paired with middle eastern players who lagged and didnt have experience in playing dubz, this idea of an optional region lock would really help prevent these kind of bad quality games.
