If the Mammoth in Halo 4 is indestructible like the Elephant in Halo 3 and is much bigger. Wouldn’t it be cool to be able to destroy one like a Scarab. I’m thinking of something like, if you can make it inside the enemies Mammoth and destroy the “core” an alarm would sound telling everyone to evacuate and such but if you are still on are near it, you get blown up. I believe this would make BTBs so much more epic.
What do you guys think?
What do you guys think it would take to make it happen?

“I see you are trying to blow up this vehicle. Would you like me to run the tutorial program?”
It’d be cool, especially the splash effect from the detonation, but something tells me an explosion that massive could seriously strain the game’s resources and kill some of the weaker connections. I’d settle for a disabling mechanism that kills its movement but leaves weapons functional.

I think it could work because, Live Players are harder to take down then Covies, but it should need a substantial amount of damage before detonation and could recharge over time.

Maybe.
Maybe there could be gametypes where the objective is to get aboard the enemy Mammoth and detonate it. Sort of like Assault or something.

All of my yesses!
Just imagine how intense one of these games would be!

maybe it could have 3 entances we know there is a place to unload vehicles and such but have only 1 entrance opened all the time and the other 2 be like in the -Yoink- pit like hold rb to open vehicle bay or hold lb to open entrance 2

Wouldn’t hurt to talk about though. You never know, maybe 343i would implement it in some later patches (this is purely hope). As far as Halo 5 goes, I hope they see this and at least think about it.
I wonder if this is what they meant by “scratch the itch” for invasion. They added a huge vehicle, took out elites, so perhaps that they made it so you re battling and trying to sabotage the enemies base. Maybe it would be like payload from TF2 somehow. Have it on a moving map and after certain checkpoints maybe some parts of the vehicle gets damaged until you can make your way in and blow it up. Very unlikely, but I think it would be cool.
That could be a new gametype! Instead of Generator Defense, we now get Mammoth Wars!
The two teams need to destroy the Mammoth of the other team!
Or even Scarab vs Mammoth would be possible!
