Another one bites the dust.

Little prediction, MW2/BF falls to Reach in the next Major Nelson live numbers release.

Multiple factors reasons come to mind, biggest two, first MW3/BF should start sucking massive population from its older brothers and as everybody can see there has been population boost for Reach.

Some of the population is returning players that got tired of the new game dejur and comes back to the loving arms of Halo, but my belief is the majority of those new numbers are new UUs and this is going to translate to better position on the charts.

inb4Halo3was#1

Yes I can inb4, its my thread :stuck_out_tongue:

So you are predicting reach will finally overcome an old MW2 game that has been out since Halo3. You shouldn’t be predicting you should be asking what’s taking so long.

Halo 3 was #1.

I could be wrong and BF will be the one to fall, Im not sure at this point, I think I will add that to the OP.

For me, I already have the answer to that question and have come to the conclusion that there is no point trying to convince anybody of my opinion as it seems that all minds are made up, on this issue.

I cannot predict what has already happened, thusly I look to the future to devine predictions. Perhaps you would care to join me in my dalliance in forcasting trends?

Where do you think Reach will be on the top 10 live list come next release of numbers?

My brother-in-law is a big Call of Duty fan and he hears a lot of players in MW3 lobbies saying how they should go back to Battlefield 3.

Interesting,I feel like the over extension of CoD and BF in the top ten live charts may translate into trouble for the oldest of both of those franchises to the benefit of Reach.

I believe Reach will be 4 or 5 mainly thanks to the holiday bundle and the Anniversary. Though I don’t know if the anniversary’s multiplayer counts as a separate game, still I believe it’ll fall between 4 and 5.

Sorry =( already inb4’ed that, so Im not sure what happens next, but I think you might be in trouble or something JK =)

Care to make a prediction for the next top live release?

Im not sure on the Anniversary, I feel like the DLC shows up as Reach population and the disk version is a seperate title. I refuse to believe that a game that sold approx. 1.5 million copies only has maybe 6000-7000 on at peak hours. The last time I looked at the live numbers, the last ones for last year, it was listed as a seperate title and Halo had 3 places on the top 20.

If you end up figuring that one out, let me know.

As long as Halo: Reach isn’t #1 the Reach Ragers will bash it and continue to bring in population and Top 20 positions into the argument against the game.

Its starting to not bother me anymore, if they dont understand the dynamics of the situation, then its completely pointless to try and explain. For some it will always be that Reach/AA was junk and that if there was just Halo 4/pick-up powers Halo would still be number one no mater what CoD did.

In just under a year we are most likely going to get a test of just such a scenerio and we are going to see if a pickup power Halo 4(I can only assume, considering current 343 course) can take top spot on live for 3 years with the onslaught of amazing games that are released now days.

Saddly I dont think it will and then I am going to have to hear “Reach was so bad that people dont want to play Halo 4 like they did Halo 3”. I just know it LOL, it really does not mater for me, I enjoy Reach, Im sure I will enjoy 4 and if a 5 come down the pipe, I will most likely enjoy that too.

Major Nelson grabs his Activity List based on what is shown on the Dashboard, so when you go onto Anniversary and then choose Halo: Reach Multiplayer, you are playing Halo: Reach according to the activity list.

Halo: Anniversary itself was on the activity list once, no idea what place but it was.

It hit lucky number thirteen in Nov 2011.
