There are scared now releasing another map pack this fast. They know the game is dead. No other halo had all maps packs come out this fast.
The map packs have probably been complete for a long time now. I would have liked if they put them all out on the same day, wouldn’t everyone?
I have no problem with them bringing out more map packs.
Not really, dlc dates are always planned long before the game is even out.
In fact the release date was leaked back when halo 4 came out.
These dates were released over a year ago.

Nope, 343 planned the release dates for each of the map packs ahead of time. Halo4Follower also had a leaked video a while ago about the release dates of each map pack.
I love Halo 4, but I think 343 never meant for Halo 4 to be a long-lasting game.
It’s all marketing.
The new Xbox console will be announced somewhere in April (maybe alongside a new Halo title). It wouldn’t really make sense to announce/release more DLC after that because a lot of people will have changed their focus to the new console/game.

Certain affinity has made 9 maps.
343i has made 10 maps.
There was collaboration of course but…

As someone said, the dates were leaked around release.
Originally CASTLE was supposed to come April 1st… by the alledged leaked date. NOW, it got moved to April 8th, a Week later.
Plus you all have to think, they were already working on the next MP, once they finished the one they were working on? All devs do this…
Plus, each map was 2 months apart… why does this one seem rushed 2 you? Majestic came out in Feb?
The maps aren’t being rushed out, are you new here? Have you payed any attention to what 343 said before Halo 4 released? The Crimson was released in December, Majestic last month.

Some where on here and a few other places 343i has been quoted as saying “A game’s lifespawn is really only about 1 year.” Hence why all the DLC has been pre-planned to be released earlish in H4’s life. Not a dig here… just saying.

The Crimson pack was done a while before the game was released, and I doubt that they had much feedback time before they started working on Castle and Majestic.
The dates aren’t close together because they’re rushing, the dates are close together because they’re trying to use the DLC to breast feed.
I have a few theories of why they are being released so quickly.

Microsoft is rushing them and just milking us for money.

343i is trying to get the map packs out of the way to start fixing issues.

343i is also maybe trying to buy some players back into Halo 4.
I know all of these are just assumptions, all of them could be wrong, but one of them could be right as well.
And no, I’m not doubting 343i. Just a few simple guesses.
OP Fail. We knew the release months of these maps before Halo 4 launched.
Any connecting of the dots between the DLC and Halo 4 population are just reaching to stir controversy.

I’m fairly sure Certain Affinity did all of Halo 4’s maps, not just the map packs.
Anyway, as it has been pointed out, the release days for these maps has been known since before Halo 4 released (or at the very least, the months these map packs were coming out was known). I don’t see why people are getting so concerned, it’s more maps. What’s not to like? If you bought the season pass, they are free.
I guess people will jump on anything now adays if it will somehow help the hate twards 343.
