Will we have another badass Sarge in the next Halo trilogy?
No I am not referring to Palmer, or other Spartans.
I am talking about a genuine, marine sarge, who just kicks covy -Yoink-, shows off and is as cool as Johnson…
Note: Avery Johnson Jr. died in Halo 3. But wheres Johnson Senior…?

I’d rather have new characters than rehash old ones. Why cling to the past?
Besides, Palmer sort of fills the role. She’s a hard–Yoink- commander with an ego and skills to match (Let’s not turn this into a Palmer debate thread, it was outright stated that Palmer is one of the best IVs).

In a la de dah voice I don’t know Spartan KitKat shows promise.
In all actuality though I agree with this Spartan Palmer is pretty awesome 10/10 I recommend Spartan assault.
They should have a Sgt Jackson played by Samuel L Jackson. He can be Johnson’s step brother

Anyway, instead of another Johnson, i’d like it more if they expanded on the role of Sgt. Stacker.
A character just like Johnson, as one of two Sergeants in Halo 1, Stacker was overlooked a little bit by the community. I loved him, and he actually has a minor role in every main Halo game. Halo 1 as the random Sergeant, Halo 2 in the battle on Earth, Halo 3 on the Ark, Halo Reach as a firefight voice and in game on Exodus, and Halo 4 (via radio, sadly) at the end of the Mammoth mission.
He’s treated a bit like an in joke, as he shouldn’t be around after Halo 1, he, just like Cpl. Chips Dubbo, have been around, but not properly treated as cannon until Halo 3.
If Stacker is around, then he’s kind of familiar, instead on someone new, and if done right he could fill the void left by Johnson. 
Spartan Palmer is the new Johnson. She is 10 times the Spartan that Johnson was and she is still alive! She’s really cool and dreamy, and she has awesome armor and dual wields pistols like nobody else!
She’s a pretty cool lady and isn’t fraid of anything.

Cut down on the snarky comments towards civilians (The first half of Spartan Ops comes to mind) and Palmer is ready to go.
I cast my vote for Palmer as he “Next Johnson” and the MC’s backup in combat should the other spartans or Arbiter not be around to assist him. She isn’t as bad as many tend to view her as, she just… Got off to a poor start I think
I’d like to see Stacker get more of a role in the games, but maybe more so I’d like to see Franklin Mendez be brought into the games. The guy has a lot of experience with Spartans.

Probably dead, Johnson Jr didn’t exactly die young.

If Mendez was brought in then he wouldn’t be able to see or have any interaction with John of any kind. It’s said in The Fall of Reach that after John and Mendez’s chat after John’s graduation, they never saw each other again. It was done in such a way that it was a lovely parting of ways, to change that would ruin a really great concept and scene in the book.

Quite frankly not much of the book is valid anymore since the release of Reach as a game.

Comparing Palmer to Johnson is like comparing Barney Fife to Chuck Norris.

Palmer as a Johnson replacement? Nah Lasky fits his role in more ways then Palmer does.
Anyways what I’d really like to see is an SIV named Avery Johnson the third.
I don’t want it to ever be brought up or asked if he is Johnson’s son. Leave it open ended just like that open ended relationship he had with that ONi agent.
Just leave the it all to speculation. That’d be awesome.

I never saw Palmer as the Sgt. Johnson of Halo 4, I saw her as a new character and that’s it, but not a new Sgt. Johnson.
lol What if they finally gave Master Sgt. Pete Stacker the big role?
