Sorry folks, its another grenade spamming thread. I know lobbing grenades has always been part of the magic triangle in Halo and I have tolerated it but for some reason it seems a bit different this time. I don’t know if its the smaller maps and corridors in Arena, or the increased splash damage but it has become a source of frustration. I’m just an average player and I like playing Arena - Slayer but if this keeps up I may have to give-up this play list. So, what are my options?
a) Evade using thruster - I do this but not successful if you are being spammed.
b) Sprint to safety - This is fine but since my shields don’t recharge I’m sitting duck
c) Spam grenades - Well I’m part of the problem.
d) Play War Zone - Must admit this is so much fun!
When 343i do wake up from slumber, some things to consider may be
a) Reduce splash damage
b) Spawn with one grenade
c) No pickup from dead players
I feel there needs to be some balancing in this aspect to re-focus on gun play and power weapons rather than chucking nades.
I need to get a group of 12 guys in war zone to all group up. 12 nades all at once is chaos.
You need to remember that you’re Bronze 6. I don’t mean to say this to be mean, but, at your CSR you can’t really balance the game, because players are doing so much random stuff. Like for example spamming grenades. I suppose that’s a good strat when other people don’t just shoot the person and kill them while they’re chucking nades around, but I’d guess its because at that CSR aiming/avoiding nades isn’t exactly on point.
Nades are fine, and the focus on gunplay, especially at higher CSR’s is very good.
Again, this isn’t a “get gud” post, I’m not trying to be a jerk. Just sayin, at Bronze 6, you probably aren’t seeing the most competent gameplay.
Nades are not fine. Onxy’s spam grenades just as bad as everyone else does. When someone has little talent and spams 6 grenades to kill me its kinda sad. I have a very simple solution to fix it. Put a timer for when you throw your next grenade, you can keep spamming thrusters so why should someone be able to spam grenades. Do the same thing with grenades. Spamming fixed.
Grenades are fine as they are.
pfft please. you must have not played Halo CE where you could have 8 grenades, which felt just as or even more as powerful as Halo 5 grenades.
