ANother 6 month season is unacceptable

It’s not even the season itself being 6 months long that’s the problem, it’s the complete lack of a content trickle. That’s what Halo Infinite needs. An either weekly or biweekly trickle of something small and new outside of the freaking shop. And a roadmap that actually gives us a trickle by trickle schedule of what to expect.

One word that can be summed up at the moment is incompetence. I feel like I was robbed of paying for a battle pass for 4 ridiculous skins already existing in the halo universe.

Amen Brother!

I’ve been the biggest halo fan forever. This game though… it’s dead for me. Until they try the battle royale, because it’s made by someone other than 343 at this time who can maybe have potential at pulling people back into the games population. ORRRR they need to add way more maps, they need to add forge already, so people can make better maps than the actual developers themselves, they also need more matchmaking type such as a simple Doubles matchmaking playlist… Also, what the heck is the delay in the campaign multiplayer??? It’s going to release a year later after the game has been released. That is an embarrassing failure.

It just seems like at this point there is no creativity or innovation going on in the company. I mean don’t they have veterans of halo to draw out ideas form them, can’t they view these forums and see how much dislike is in them and maybe contact people who post their dislikes or gather up intelligence and information from these posts and actually do what the community is asking for. There are just so many failures at this point it’s unforgivable and I can’t support the game until something drastic happens.

They have lost a HUGE halo fan, and I am just saddened to say I can’t play this game anymore and that it is almost officially dead. There needs to be a bigger reaction when the freaking MCC outpaces Halo Infinite, the flagship game on population… it’s inexcusable.

The nail in the coffin for them now is about to be this 6 month season. No current game on the market would DARE to do this, because they would never be competitive and they will lose out to everyone else for not adapting 10/10 times. There is literally one mistake after the other and absolutely no learning being done at all.

I wish they could just take the hit on the chin like a man, admit the faults, listen to the community, bring in talent, and fix the dang game to it’s maximum potential.

Rant over… I’m out. Peace Halo

So do you want them to crunch or not crunch? Because from the multiple hiring ads I’ve seen it gives the impression they are bleeding or have bled people and are hurting for people to do the work that’s needed to hit those deadlines. If they’re understaffed I don’t want that full-staff workload passed off onto fewer people in the same timeframe.

It’s a yoinking game. I can wait. I don’t need people to suffer for my enjoyment. Meanwhile I can still -Yoink!- around with my friends and have a good time, so that’s what I’ll do. And when we get new content, that’ll be cool.

I genuinely think the timeframes of modern gaming have gotten us so spoiled that we’re all unwilling to wait for things to happen at a slower pace. Do I think they should have waited to release a more polished and full game? Absolutely. I’m devastated, and have been, that my partner and I can’t co-op the campaign like we have with every other halo game. I’m upset that it didn’t launch with Forge because my friends and I have some -Yoink!- machinima ideas that we’ll have to do in a different game. But I’m not going to sit here and scream and cry that things need to be on a similar timeline to games whose studios have ground their workers into dust for profit.

If it isn’t fun for you anymore, if you’re bored, then take a break. There’s still people playing regularly and I doubt anything Halo will truly sink from a lack of content.

I do not want them to crunch. Crunch is one of the most unethical business practices in the tech industry. What I do want is for 343 to fight to not adhere to the insane business practice of only keeping workers around for 18 months to avoid paying benefits. The personnel issues that 343 is having are entirely self-created as they limit who they can hire again due to the contracting system they use. Halo Infinite is known to have an engine that takes time to learn, and if 343 wants to support the game as a live service they need to keep the personnel to do so.

I would agree that the timeframes for games these days have become too aggressive in some instances, but 6 months between seasonal updates that provide new maps and modes is far too slow. Especially given the large amount of content that is missing in Infinite.

This is not about the game not being fun for me anymore. I still play the game regularly and I want this game to thrive. This game will not do so with biannual seasonal updates given the audience it is competing for. Sometimes if you love something you have to be critical of it, and that is exactly what I am doing. 343 has done a fantastic job of creating engaging modern gameplay that is still uniquely Halo, which has been something the series has been struggling with since Reach. For the game to survive 10 years as 343 wants it to it needs more frequent support and updating it so little within its first year on the market is a quick way to move a good game from the cradle to the grave

Geee its like relying on contract workers and dumping them once it expires instead of renewing the contract or hiring them and bringing them into the fold was the cause of said bleeding

They’re too focused on saving money.

Start hiring actual dedicated developers to work on these games instead of exploiting them and tossing them out once every is fixed.

Yikes. Definitely a bigger problem they need to address, then. I wasn’t aware they were using (and dumping) a lot of contract workers. Thanks for bringing that up. /gen

I think making the seasons 6 months long is shocking but i can understand why they’re doing it. I’m going to be honest & say that I’m a bit disappointed with the multiplayer in Halo Infinite but some of the issues I have had has already been dealt with & hope to see improvements with the next season.

I stretched the S1 pass out as long as I could and stopped using boosts but I only made it about 2 months before I finished. That’s a problem in a 6 month season with no other progression. Even if we don’t get the big updates I don’t see why we can’t atleast get cosmetics every 3 months on a battlepass.

Haven’t wanted to play infinite in a long while. Played the campaign, got tiered of playing the same 3 maps in multiplayer… went back to MCC for an all around “complete” Halo experience.

I’ve liked infinite, no doubt about that. The game-play is great. The maps are fine as well (my opinion). Campaign “was” fun. All of it left me wanting more.

(Bare with my literacy) MCC is great to fulfill the future of halo, especially if you have friends to play with. Like the CGB and what not available and other new added features never previously released.

All I’m saying is, I’ve heard/read/thought that people say that 343 is drip feeding Halo to the dehydrated Halo fans that have long await to “their favorite halo series entry.

I get it’s hard work to complete a project with no error but as a huge Halo fan I can’t play until big new updates are added (sadly :sob: )

Just like the tittle of this thread says… I know these worker bee Halo Infinite creators and development team may have known and anticipated this slow release, but that’s why when you look at the top free games to download (on Xbox) Halo isn’t #1
It’s COD :skull: , and I say that with love directly to the team!

That hurts as a long time Halo fan, and I’m sure for many others out there. Especially when I make new friends and they say they want to play COD, and not Halo!!!

There’s no game without the player. Don’t forget to voice your opinion on any platform when you feel that your voice needs to be heard to “better” the thing you love most near and dear to your heart. Let the makers hear you cry, they will hear you! If not then at least someone working the night shift sweeping the floors at 343 may read/hear you and then maybe a “mer-mer” or two get developed into the new update/release :ok_hand:

Not sure I agree, just like any other industry they can hire more employees to rotate shifts, work from home, and Teams meeting collaboration. To me this is just plain greed they aren’t delivering content and focusing on monetization more than anything.
