Another 6-8 weeks until MCC is fixed

So I was quite excited to hear that there will be an update on wednesday. However, I talked to a friend of mine who works for Microsoft in Dublin and the MCC fail has passed through the company grapevine. 343 is playing it cool at the moment but this game is in very bad shape. According to my friend word at the company is that the game will take at least 6-8 weeks to be somewhat functional.

Now anyone who will discredit my post please come back on Wednesday. The wednesday patch will improve matchmaking slightly but nowhere near where it should be. Even 343 hinted at this in their press release by NOT saying that the patch will be a complete fix…but they will continue to work on it past wednesday.

This is a sad sad time for us Halo Lovers. So much anticipation and such a HUGE FAIL.

Im also no hating on 343. I wish them the best of luck and I am sure they are working their butts off…but maybe its time to come out with the truth and a realistic timeframe of when this game will really be fixed.

Yea, from what I have seen this will take a lot of patches to get working.

The state the game is in now is bad even for a BETA.

You may be correct. I just wish they would give us a date so we can change (lower) our expectations.

True. Even if they had said “campaign and custom games available 11/11, matchmaking available 12/25,” I still would have bought the game and waited.

Nah, it seems likely. The H4 mission ‘Untracked build’ bug shows how this game is pretty much barely beta stage at this point.

Why would I lie? I love this game and want it to work sooner. But after playing for 30 plus hours i dont think its unrealistic. This game is pretty much an alpha. Just trying to pass along some info
