Annoying Grunt Voices

EDIT: After watching some new gameplay on Gamespot’s YT channel, my fears about death sounds have been eased. There’s more than two each lol.

While I love the fact that Grunts speak English again, I’m kind of worried about the number of death sounds they seem to have recorded for them. There was only like 2-3 death cries in the Sanghelios gameplay, and two of them are loud, irritating yelps.

I hope to God there’s more than just those, because I’m not looking forward to hearing a loud–Yoink- “UUUGGH!!” every time I kill a Grunt.

I literally noticed nothing at all concerning with the variety of Grunt death noises in that gameplay capture. And of all the things one could complain or worry about…

I love all the dialog they have!

They just sound a little more irritating than they did before. But I’m glad they at least speak english again.

The thing I would complain about is that annoying screech the Jackals make when they die.

Nah man, after watching the new gameplay and videos from Warzone the noise that the Promethean Soldiers make when the die (like a guy getting his rocks off) is hella annoying

I wasn’t bugged so much by the unggoy as much as I was bothered by the new kig-yar death screech.

Tbh they sound hilarious when they die.

I envisage a hearty giggle every time I kill one in the game.

Ya think you could hike up those “little miss perfect” pants a little more, doc? : P

Seriously though… OP has a valid concern, seeing Grunts usually make up for a large % of enemies one fights in battles involving the Covenant.

Good for you. Wanna cookie?

Sanghelios is ours! Luckily it’s easy to silence these guys.

What flavor is it? Chocolate chip? I want one D:

On-topic though, I didn’t really see much wrong with their voices either. Er, I mean hear. Didn’t hear anything wrong. Probably only scratched the surface so to speak in what they’ll offer audio-wise. The jackal’s death screeches were jarring at first, but I’m already warming up to them. Still like the old ones better, but hey.

Yup. I swear they sound like horrified goats when they die.

Again, very true. I still think it sounds cool, but EVERY LAST ONE of them does it. Sounds like they just took a massive techno-dump and relieved themselves lol.

Exactly, what bothers me about these death sounds is that all of these are low-tier enemies that appear the most frequently, and hearing “AAUGH!”, “YEEET!”, and “AAAaaahh!!” every four seconds could truly test my patience.

No…Snickerdoodle, and no you can’t have any. >:(

But yeah, maybe it’s something that has to grow on you I guess.

I’m not sure about you OP, but I don’t listen to my enemies scream in their death both digital and in the real life.

The one thing that bothered me is the death cry after an assassination.

Shouldn’t happen.

FFS you people will complain about anything.

I think I prefer the way the Grunts talked in Halo 1-3, but their new voices may grow on me. They have some interesting lines at the very least.

What I found out today is that this guy will literally complain about anything. Anything.

And I already knew you fanboys will take offense to literally any criticism to 5. I mean seriously, does it hurt you so much that the big bad “hater” doesn’t like the way stuff sounds in Halo 5?
