Anniversary PC needed, or SOMETHING

Dear 343 industries and the entire Halo Community
Halo: Combat Evolved for PC is about to die, as you already know.
If you are Truly Dedicated to Halo, you WILL re-port Halo: custom Edition to the PC and Host it. You could even charge 30 bucks a copy for it and make a substantial profit. As a Halo Custom Edition player since early 2008, I would be appalled if nothing was done to support a community that has lasted 11 Years. This is my plea to all who hear me, and especially 343 industries, we cannot allow this to happen.

Cyborgs Unite.

Honestly, a Halo PC CEA would be epic, but there’s talk of the community reassembling Halo PC on the CryEngine3.

343 Industries, you must act.

Please don’t act like your higher then god. Halo CEA would be cool yes but its not absolutely needed the community is still pretty strong

The OP is referring to the recent news about Gamespy shutting down support for some games. The HPC community is terrified that the server browser could drop at any moment.

I’ve never understood why Microsoft has limited Halo to the Xbox. PC is just as viable… Maybe it’s to sell consoles or something.

I would prefer to see Halo 3 before Halo CEA on PC though. At least then the original trilogy would be playable.

its not dieing, there are a lot of peeps on there

Halo: CE on PC is about to die? Are you kidding me? There’s still 20+ full servers online most times of the day. Maybe it’s not as popular as it was, but it’s definitely not dying, especially for a 10+ year old game.

Halo is the XBOX launch title, it’s stayed exclusive to sell consoles. They made Halo: CE on PC for those who didn’t want to adopt, but it took them years. Not to mention Halo 2 for PC was made purely to sell copies of Windows Vista.
