Forgive if this has been talked about lately, I was wondering, are these maps in the current playlists at all? Just got xbox back after a lengthy absence, and was wondering if it was worth it.
Yes, I know Halo 4 is next week, and I am getting it, but I really like Reach, and am definitely nostalgic for the old maps…
You have Anniversary playlist in reach yes. If you liked Halo CE then you must buy the remake! I totally recommend it to you.
In my opinion, it isn’t worth buying now. When they updated the playlists, they took out the best part of the anniversary playlist: anniversary BTB. If you play alone, or with a small group of friends, then classic is ok. But, like with my team, we have big groups every night, so we can’t play small-team playlists, and them taking away Anniversary BTB killed it.
The maps are well made, and I suppose they’re worth it if you want the old maps to play on, but online-multiplayer wise, not worth it. And like you said, Halo 4 comes out in less than a week. I’d just stick with the normal reach until 4 arrives.
I guess I would say that there is no point for the map pack now because not only is Halo 4 right around the corner, there’s really only 1 playlist because I don’t even consider Anniversary Firefight as an all out playlist. Ever since they removed Anniversary BTB and Anniversary FFA, I didn’t play it as much. I especially liked Anniversary Squad but that was removed ages ago.
Yes, it sucks that there’s really only 1 proper playlist left but if you enjoyed the original Halo CE experience, then I would say go for it. Anniversary Classic is still great with its 3-shot pistol. I would just want the other Anniversary playlists back.
