Anniversary Multiplayer Maps Install Question

This is really a questions for the Devs, but I don’t really know of a way to send it directly to them. Sadly I wasn’t able to make it to Halofest… (stupid education) to ask in person. If I do not want to install the full game to me hard drive but want to just install the new maps to my HDD so that I can play through my copy of Reach can I do that? I don’t have a lot of HDD space otherwise I’d just install the whole game.

PS. HaloFest was an epic event I’m still catching up have two more panels to watch before I’ve seen everything!

I don’t think this is something they clarified. They did, however, say that they would be releasing the maps for DLC shortly after CEA was released. I know this doesn’t solve the problem if you plan on buying CEA, but it is one solution. You would think they would have an option just to install the maps. I would assume.

To fully cover the question:

  • Installing Reach allows you to play all Reach maps via the Anniversary disc.
  • Installing Anniversary lets you play those maps on Reach (I think).

I’m not entirely sure with #2; they keep talking about the installation stuff but I’m pretty sure it’s #1: Installing Reach lets you play on all maps via Anniversary.

Yeah but the question is will I be able to download the CEA maps free after purchasing a physical copy of the game.

Purchasing Halo: CEA will:

  • Allow you to play the new maps off of the Halo: CEA disc
  • Include a download so you can download the maps to your HDD and play them through the Halo: Reach disc (similar to how DLC works)

I’m about 90% positive on this but I’m sure 343 said if you get Anniversary you will be given the means to install the 7 new maps to your HDD and will be able to play them on Reach seperately from the Anniversary disc.

Oh and if I want to install on both my brother’s xbox and my own can I do that? (just maps) (I’m the only one whose actually going to play the CEA Campaign)
