Anniversary Firefight

(Im not sure if this should go here or in Halo: Reach forums) Anyway, I think 343 should release a firefight gametype which is the same as the Anniversary game types (faster speed, higher jump, no AAs, 3sk pistol) as well as only have Grunts, Jackals, Elites, and Hunters (because Brutes and Skirmishers were not in Halo CEA) They should also have this gametype as an option in the Anniversary Firefight playlist. A 3SK pistol is not possible in Firefight like it is for Multiplayer, in Multiplayer, 343i use a tool called Megalo which, which before the TU allowed them to do things with gametypes like Power Slayer, and after the TU, modify damage values on weapons, mainly the pistol.

However, Megalo can only be used for Multiplayer, it was never designed to work with Firefight and this late into Reach’s cycle and Halo 4 just months away, it is unlikely we will see such changes and another Title Update to have a Megalo build that supports Firefight.

On 2x Score Attack you can use magnums that take up to 3 shots to kill Elites like Anniversary, they could implement that. To me that seems very similar to Halo CE. I’ve been thinking the same thing about a gametype in matchmaking to have it similar to Halo CE Anniversary gameplay, although it wouldn’t have the magnum being automatic, that’s the only difference between the two.

Well, ok, Im ok with the Reach Pistol, but what about everything else? Sorry, I just want a non-arcade choice for Anniversary Firefight.

Everything else would be plausible, but Bloom on all weapons would still exist, so it wouldn’t be perfect, but it would be close.

The problem with that is, every other weapon gets a damage boost as well as the magnum, which ruins the CE experience if attempted.

In a nutshell:

3SK Pistol: Can’t happen
Faster Speed & High Jump: Possible
No AAs: Possible
Limited enemies to match CE: Possible.

Wow… Great idea! I like that.

They could do only Halo CE Halo load outs with no AA’s in general. That would be awesome to add to Fire Fight.

I kinda made that gametype, and the loadouts had the names of different spartan-II’s, although the Kelly loadout has sprint and the DMR, I might have to change it sometime.
