Anniversary Firefight vs normal Firefight??

Are the 2 playlists exactly the same thing except for Anniversary only having one map?

I’m trying to test this out myself, but Anniversary seems deader than a doornail.

The two are exactly the same, yes, aside from the one map as you so rightly pointed out.

To add to the above, there’s no real purpose for the Anniversary playlist either since Installation 01 comes up in the regular playlist’s rotation as well. So unless you specifically want that one map, best to go with the regular playlist.

More than likely has a bigger player population too which means games will load quicker.

To give you a brief run down of what youre mentioning. 343 Industries had just taken the reins of Halo during the time of Installation 01’s announcement for Halo Reach. It was the first actual DLC let alone content produced and publicly distributed by 343. It was at its time such a (I guess) monumental moment in Halo Franchise history that the map Installation 01 got its own playlist so that players could play it on repeat and get a feel for it.

Fast forward to today, 343 must have just not updated the playlists to just remove the lone wolf like playlist for Installation 01; hence why its there today and you can play it seperately. Also explaining why there is only few players on it. Hope this sheds some light for you Spartan!
