So apparently I have all the animations that were available, because I just spent 100,000 req points on five legendary XP boosts, worth a grand total of 1250 req points.
I want my 100,000 req points back.

Yeah whats the point of having a new pack only for it to contain items we already have?

Are you forgetting that everyone in the game doesn’t have everything? There are likely thousands of players who are still grinding to get stuff.
Sorry to hear OP, but you didn’t know you had all the animations when you’re a level 148, or did you think these were new ones?
What do you mean by “animations” in your thread’s title? Assassinations? Stances?

There is a “special” req pack available for 100k that will unlock 5 assassinations or stances… But I guess the OP didn’t realize he had them all so they got legendary XP boost instead. This pack is another waste of points for people on the pack grind unless you really really want a roll of the dice at five random stances or assassinations. 100k in points gets you a lot of unlocks in silver and golds. I may get a couple of them with my left over points because legendary XP boost are what I am really after right now.

Ah, I see it now. But yeah, packs like those are a big waste of REQ points.
I can’t understand for the life of me why people get upset when they fail to read the description of something and get exactly what the description said they were getting. Failing to do the due dilligence in a purchase doesn’t make something a ripoff.

In all fairness, the descriptions are a bit ambiguous. They can be clearer. The description states: “Demonstrate your dominance and martial skill with new Stances and Assassinations.”
I can see how someone can be confused by that.

I thought there was new assassinations/ stances. Checking the collection is a handy feature.
Always read the description of a product, whether it is digital or physical, before buying with in game money. That’s my advice. And… carry on.
I guess people should really look closely as how did floodofcovfefe miss that
OP - I am in complete agreement with you and some of the replies aren’t very helpful. New was in the description and that’s why I got it too. Yes it has a description after about if available, but I assumed that meant if you now have all the new ones.
All I got was five legendary xp boosts. What a waste of 100K REQ points

> You left out the part that actually described what you are getting. 5 assassinations or stances if available. If you get one when you have everything unlocked, something has to be subbed for the stuff you already have. It is common knowledge at this point that those are boosts (usually legendary.)
They shouldn’t have put “NEW” in the description. And I almost bought it, but I came to waypoint to make sure THE PACK was actually new. And OP was kinda deceived by the wording, NEW to me is 2018, not 2016. So I can’t bash him for that, and neither should anyone else. I mean I’d rather hear about the new tournaments 343 is promoting on different countries best Halo killing teams, but weapon skins would be insensitive…??? All how you look at it i guess
I think putting ‘new’ in the description is pretty misleading considering none of these animations are new in the game and the word new shouldn’t even be in the description. It’s bordering on being shady, tbh. That said, people also need to be more careful before buying things. It says ‘if available’ on the description as well and we’ve known for a good while now that 343 aren’t going to implement any new REQ’s. We also haven’t had any announcements about anything new either aside from flag skins which we’re now not getting.

So the new req pack that which if you haven’t unlocked everything would grant you new items. Shouldn’t use the word ‘new’? Every additional unlock is a ‘new’ item for the person unlocking it. There is a point where people need to take a degree of responsibility for their actions. If you choose to make random assumptions (in spite of evidence) that is your fault. It is not the fault of another person. Taking a moment to read what the words say and responding accordingly wouldn’t seem that difficult a task. This is a case where someone failing (or more accurately choosing to fail) to understand something that was clearly written is not the fault of the writer.
For the record if there had been items added to the req pool, there would have been an announcement and most likely months of lead up (as there has been every time they’ve added something.)

TAKE responsibility for actions does not have Anything to do with this. The description does, and could have been more blunt, not leaving a window for error. Wouldn’t we have the NEW weapon skins that were promised if the ’ degree of responsibility for their actions’ was left to the individual ? It’s not the fault of gamers or the Halo community , so if you go by the pretext of 343 , then yes it was the description, because it doesnt clarify ‘new’. And telling the OP they chose to fail??? I read what others wrote, they to could see where a person could believe that these were BRAND NEW never before seen items. The Halo fan is upset because he read the ad straight forward, and the description “NEW” got him. I can understand that. It should have been worded more carefully , in my opinion. But i really sincerely hope your not telling me that i am ‘choosing to fail’ because i understand how a individual, of the great Halo community , believed what was described in his eyes.
