This post is mainly directed towards the Forum Team,
I’ve been playing Halo 5 for a long time, and this is the first time something like this has happened. I joined a match of BTB earlier today and there were some severe animation problems occurring right off the bat. The game began with me not being able to see my own weapon (I later realized this was because I was holding it directly above my head). Additionally, all the vehicles had some visual flaw, whether it be that they drove on their side or the wheels were not where they were supposed to be. Turrets did not rotate much at all. Also, the aim assist did not work…the reticle never turned red when I aimed at an enemy. Everyone was holding their weapons over them, but I feel like I was the only one that saw any of these glitches since no one else seemed to stop and experiment like I was.
I thought maybe this was a hiccup so I ignored it and joined a game of Infection immediately after the BTB game hoping it would be fixed. Nope, the same issues were happening. I had to completely close the game and reopen it to make the glitches go away. I’m not a very technical person, so I’m not sure if this is because of the game itself, the hardware in my Xbox One, or if someone was using mods online. Any insight on what went wrong would be greatly appreciated.
I bookmarked the BTB match in the Halo 5 theater mode, so if there is a way for you to access that feel free, but if not I also made a game clip:
It’s about 9 minutes, but the Game DVR on Xbox only allows for 5 minute videos so at the 5 minute mark in the video above there is a break in the gameplay, and that’s just me using my subpar abilities to splice the two videos that I made together. You only miss a few seconds of gameplay in that break. Even if you’re not a part of the support team I suggest you check out the video if you want a good laugh, especially when I get in the warthog for the first time.
