Animated Movies Collection?

So I recently stumbled upon a collection that claimed to have ALL of the Halo movies and animations included (here on Amazon… not bad for $29.95 for 9+ hours of run-time).
Though it is on six discs, the product description says it only contains the following :

  • Halo Legends - Halo 4 : Forward Unto Dawn - Halo : Nightfall - Halo : The Fall of Reach9+ hours of video footage is pretty neat, but there is something missing it seems. The collection claims to have all the movies… but it is leaving out some animated comics. For those of you who don’t know, some of the stories from Halo : Evolutions were made into animated comics that had small episodic releases back on Halo Waypoint… and yet they were never distributed in any sort of definitive edition on DvD, Blu-Ray, or digital with bonus content such as developer commentary and such. I have ordered the aforementioned collection in the hopes that it does indeed have the entirety of Halo’s movies AND animations. Which means I am hopeful that the following are included in the bundle as well :

  • Halo : The Mona Lisa - Halo : Headhunters - Halo : Midnight Aboard The Heart Of Midlothian - Halo : The ReturnIf it doesn’t, then I guess I am hopeful that 343 will release these animated comics made by ONE Studios and Pyramind Studios in some other Halo bundle.

That sounds like a pretty sweet deal… But I’m pretty sure FUD and Nightfall are still available for free on Youtube, and Legends is still on Netflix last I checked (FUD too but I think that’s gone now). Fall of Reach was pretty lackluster imo and the narrative didn’t include the actual “fall of Reach”… so even at that price, I think I’ll pass.

Tbh I’d rather pay $30 for the four motion-comics you listed afterwards. The Mona Lisa in particular was truly impressive.

The Mona Lisa was something that I loved dearly. And then, just as I was picturing the idea of being trapped on an alien vessel with such a biological horror… my uncle got me Dead Space. And I fell in love with horror games.

I also have that collection of Halo vids and wish it had the anime collection as well as all the tv promotion shorts, live action trailers, and any and all other bits of Halo lore that is otherwise hard to find. It’s such great story and searching for them on their own is not unlike an archaeological dig, which is kinda fun in its own right, but also a bit annoying when you want to rewatch them and relive the story.

It’s a shame that you cannot watch them on Halo Waypoint anymore and have to go into YouTube, where ads interrupt the action and the quality can go up and down randomly. Seriously 343 and Microsoft. You are companies and we are asking for a compilation of more than just your 4 major films. The fans have spoken. We have the demand and money. You have the supply to fill. Economics 101 dudes.
