If you’ve read Glasslands, you will know that Andrew Del Rio was appointed captain of the UNSC Infinity.

So, what do you guys think he’s going to be like?

Personally, I think this character will be the new Captain Keyes, a man that is courageous, intelligent, not afraid to take risks.

I’m sure this man will be an instant classic.

Well now that it’s out we know.

Either way, it was one of the few really interesting characters.

I would have liked to see way more of him, doing more stuff that makes us hate him, or like him whatever your preference is.

I like him because I hate him.

Poor OP… 100% opposite of what that git actually is. Now I gotta read Glasslands just to gen up on why he thought that (I have the novel but not got around to reading it).

I really wonder why he was so grumpy.

Perhaps because nobody listened to him?
Perhaps because he had a seriously bad tactical sense?
Perhaps because Chief showed up and kicked behinds again harder than his collection of brand spanking new SIV’s?
Perhaps because Lasky was a better leader?
Perhaps because he was too afraid to go into a battle and was called out on that?

Either way, dude has some major problems.

From Glasslands, and the book after it, The Thursday War, I got the impression that Del Rio was basically a figure head. He wasn’t that bad in the books. I was actually a little surprised to see how rude he was in the game.

I think he just had a bad case of diarreah.

That stuff can really turn a good mood around in an instant.
