del Rio…the man we love to hate.
I do not know if he will be in halo5 but he was in hunt the truth.
I am actually glad he is back because he was sooo brilliantly unlikeable, he was the sum total of every power tripping authority figures that makes us question the very notion of authority.
I can’t stand him and that is why I love the character. A good story needs people like this, the original Robocop had -Yoink- Jones, aliens had the wetland yutani board of directors, first blood had the sheriff.
ironically he was only trying to follow protocol in halo 4 and chief was the one gambling with the fate of humanity, chief just turned out to be right.

I just noticed auto censor blocked the name d I c k…that’s weird, I have two uncles by that name.
sometimes technology is mentally challenged.
under that definition of obscenity we should not be able to type sgt Johnson since it is a euphemism for the same body part as the shortened version of Richard.
Andrew Del Rio… you can just hear the hate roll right off your tongue when the last syllable, of his name, is enunciated…

in true Orwellian mode lets have our daily hate directed to del Rio.
RAGE,HATE,RAGE!!!
On a side note, I would love to see his character make a prominent role in the Halo: Television Series, with his voice and animation actor, Mark Ralston, being the go-to actor. The medium for greater arcs of story-telling and character development strays far from video games, and is best left to novels, television series, and comic series, where the story and characters progress over situations and time, to which, we familiarize ourselves and learn to understand their perspectives and why they are the way they are; the best characters are the most relate-able.
Really wish I could friendly fire that jerk in the games. Throw an incendiary grenade at him from Halo 3 and watch him burn.
At least now I have someone to hate more than Palmer again.

I agree the actor who played del Rio was superb with his impotent rage as no one was following his orders.
I could see the anger burning in his digital eyes!!
Private Drake was out of his element on Requiem. It was obvious to everyone but him, which is why members of his command staff failed to follow his orders at the end. Kudos to 343i for having him relieved of command by FleetCom rather than having Lasky pull a Crimson Tide. I felt like that’s what it was leading up to and then, bam… Infinity really left and John and Cortana were really on their own again in Shutdown. It really brought home that they had been seconds away from getting it done and that support from the Infinity and her crew would have made all the difference in pinning down the Combat Cryptum and keeping the Didact contained. It also makes what happened at Ivanoff seem avoidable and that much more tragic.

It was oddly satisfying watching this man squirming under the pressure of an unknown alien threat compromising his position and neck. He came across as such a night manager like he didn’t care how many assets he lost he just had to make it through the night and he wouldn’t have to worry anymore instead of worrying for the actual well being of his assets and men I have to say I’m both happy and highly annoyed that we’re seeing his character again.
Andrew Del Rio…yay for that ¬¬
(That’s sarcastic, by the way)
I was hoping we’d get more of him. He’d be fun to develop as a character
Well gee, never before have I missed someone so deeply. I think we should all just bow our heads down, in a moment of silence, to appreciate the great charity that is this marvelously heroic character’s return to power. Yes!
#DelRio2558. Believe in Humanity.

That would be so good!
When I found out del Rio was a militant senator, I was like “of course he would.”
I was surprised by his presence, but not surprised what he’s been up to.
I want to know though how he got elected and wonder if ONI had a hand in it.
